Watching the Left embrace tyranny and authoritarianism was predicted. We told you all that's who they were.

The only damage it really "causes" is BECAUSE it's "forbidden" and hard to get. If you live with damage you need to wake up and realize you've actually been the main cause of most of it and stop futilely beating on whomever is causing your concern because they're sick. People who are addicted to drugs need your sympathy and real help not the useless and contradictory "toughlove" which makes you feel better by justifying your abandonment of them while driving them deeper and deeper into their disorder.

    The analysis has been done.

If you add up the budgets allocated to the drug war; DEA and local law enforcement, courts & prison, we could fund massive education efforts and rehab, and there would still be boatloads of money left over.

Now the drug cartels have no customers.

This is truly a no-brainer, but our politicians prefer to incarcerate citizens and waste money. It's what government does best.

I really don’t listen to any worshipers and Democrats talk about him far more than his worshipers ever have. Maybe if they don’t give him attention he’ll slink away?

Comparing how Trump is treated to Obama is laughable. The sheer volume when comparing the vitriol is incomparable. Love or hate either of them, it’s really not even in the same ball park. You
Only have a select few sources who truly hate on Obama. Against Trump you have nearly the entirety of DC, most of the MSM and Hollywood. Comparing that to some bloggers and Fox News is just laughable. Seriously.

I think it's about 50/50. It took a long time for the right to shut up about Obama, and the left a long time to shut up about W and the right a long time to shut up about Clinton.

So it goes. It gets worse with every new president. Every one of them in the last 25 years has been both Hitler and Marx, at the same time.

    It's so boring. Also maddening.

Hatred of Trump is justified. He's got zero redeeming qualities. He's a loon.

Oh well, if there has been an analysis, game set and match.

No, but we should be willing to try new things. The war on drugs is decades old, and we are no closer to winning. How about we experiment.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results.

Some don't want experimental vaccines, why in god's green earth would you require to enter? Are you required as a Candian to have them? I think your dictator took the wrong approach with this group and his pajama boy rant tying to Nazi's should cost him greatly. There is ZERO comparisons here and is the typical wacko lefty red herring. One would have to be extremely week minded to consider a comparison and somehow not realize the Nazi's whole government was designed to punish those that didn't agree with them, EXACTLY what pajama boy is doing.

It doesn’t really matter what you perceive. It’s MATH. FOX news, some you tube channels and bloggers do not equal the entirety of the MSM, print, entertainment, Hollywood, much of the tech industry and the majority of the political establishment. Many Republicans dislike Trump. How many Democrats dislike Obama or would even dare to admit it? 1 hand? 2 hands?

50/50 isn’t even in the scope of realty. I dislike both for different reasons.

Trump deserves the vitriol. He's an ******* who doesn't give a **** about anyone but himself. He makes fun of people openly, he picks on the disabled, women who just had surgery, etc. There is not one thing to respect about him. If people would stop talking about how awesome he is, we'd all be better off.

My in-laws all voted Trump, both terms. It's because he didn't have a (D) next to his name. They all believe he's a giant ******* whose only redeeming quality is the lack of (D).

So, why are so many worshiping him? I used to ask the same question about Obama worshipers, but they can't even begin to compete with the level of religious deity his worshipers have elevated him to.

True. And Obama is no different. He just has a better wrapper. And Obama picks and picked on people all the time. He just wasn’t a child about it. But he sure as **** insulted lots of people and often.

BTW. Of the two, only Obama had songs and hymns written and sung about him. And no serious artists have created Christ like imagery over Trump, unless it was a gag. No one has written serious books about how Trump changed and world. Trump also didn’t win a Nobel peace prize just for breathing.

We can do this all day but Math proves me correct when it comes to overall worship. It’s truly silly to compare the two. At the extremes both have the zealots. But ONLY Obama zealots are praised or taken seriously on the national and international stage.

The war on drugs isn't at the border, it's in the homes of Americans all over the US. The casualties are horrendous.

It's both. Our borders are how the drugs get here.

My point is that what we are doing doesn't work. We have 50 ish years of proof.

    Let's try something else.

I understand what you're saying and why, I just don't think it's the answer. I don't pretend to have one but the idea of drugs being easier to come by disturbs me, based on my experience.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone didn't have experience with drug users.

My mom was a big time alcoholic. When she turned jaundice, she was talking about how the little men made her drive the car into a tree. Not all harmful drugs are illegal.

We should stop demonizing addictions, and stop imprisoning people who are addicts. We could start by sending addicts to rehab instead of prison.

We need smart and creative people in authoritative roles. All our current crop (since Reagan, really,) do is "Hey, we've only tried this 93 times! This time it'll work for sure!!!" I'm so sick of nothing but politicians and lawyers running the show. They only know how to be corrupt.

Say what you want about AOC, because I don't like her politics, either, but, at least she's something different. We need more out-of-box and less of what we've been doing.

Good. Blocking roads and shutting down economy just to whine about a vaccine is something only Marxist/populist anti-vaxxers would support.

I don't think she's nuts. Her ideas are often misguided, but disagreement about solutions to problems doesn't make someone nuts. She says silly things, but, name a politician who hasn't. I'm glad she doesn't believe in Jewish Space Lasers, for example.

She’s not nuanced, and she’s got a lot to learn about economics.

Her basic idea is that the system shouldn’t be so heavily weighted against the poor. I agree with her high level points.
Remember, I don’t like her. Her redeeming quality is she’s different. She’s in the fringe minority.

Isn’t that why so many love Trump?

I can't speak for so many and I don't love Trump but I like his business approach to economic policy and his face to face foreign policy. Washington is made up of a lot of little fiefdoms that jealously guard their territory. Some are useful and others are out dated and should be done away with. Trump bypassed the ones he felt he needed to, to get things done and created a lot of serious enemies. The office gave him the power to make him effective and I thought he did a good job.
