I could make the claim without citing any data at all. Football: coach gets fired for praying, but it's permissable to take a knee. Primetime: good casts and smart storylines and dialogues are quickly overcome with smarmy content and contrived political propaganda that just happens to support the progs. If Hollywood were to remake "Heidi" today, it would focus on a budding adolescent love affair between Heidi and Clara while Grandfather was boinking his goats. You know it's true. Coverage of the election is a joke - all anyone can focus on is salacious accusations.

But don't believe your lying eyes.
    You just keep following orders!

O-o-o-o-kay. What that has to do with ratings on the cable news channels, I'm not sure. But you do you.

That's because you didn't read the OP. I talked about news and I also discussed primetime. The gardening channel has become more appealing than either.

    Wow, that's blind.

Most of them have already been debunked.
Claiming to have been groped in a glassed in room for all to see and no witnesses? What a joke.

If it wasn't for cable and satellite packaging channels like CNN and MSNBC would be out of business years ago
Fox news would still survive because they constantly rank in the top5 of all cable channels watched

If you are not sure and you don't understand, it may be because you sit and watch and absorb from your television -- and do not sense the puppet master. You may be one of the soft headed people who allow their thoughts to be shaped for them. Soft headed people think whatever they see in movies or on TV is real, is the way it happened.

What your TV isn't telling you is there are a number of Americans who possess critical thinking. When we hear a tilted piece of propaganda, we can identify it for what it is. If it consumes a broadcast, or a prime time TV show, we turn it off.

That little action, changing the channel, is an act of self reliance. It is people across the land saying, "This is incorrect and not worth my attention".

    Changing the channel hurts ratings.

Three weeks from now, everything will go back to normal once we have elected a president.

This should make any American who believes in a democratic republic, a press that speaks truth to power, that detests criminality and corruption in gov't and the press sick to their stomach and rile them up enough to vote Clinton OUT.. It should turn them against this corrupt MSM who are propaganda outlets for Clinton and take away all of their viewership. And it should make any Hillary supporter with coherent rational brain vote for anyone but Clinton. And yet she still has a large group of democratic supporter. What in the hell is going on with these people? They want a banana republic? They agree with this corruption? And while they try to deny it, the denial is so weak, so contrived as to be like the ludicrous side of (*)(*)(*)(*) hitting the fan.

Again, what in the hell is wrong with these Clinton supporters? We can understand why a corrupt DNC supports her, as they worked hard to rig sanders out of beating her. For they are just as corrupt as Clinton is. Politicians owned by the robber barons who will make them rich sooner or later, or richer. But average americans? Why would they be complicit in this banana republic behavior, why would they be complicit in the brown shirts employed and sent by Clinton and DNC money to create violence outside of trump rallies? Why would they be complicit in voter fraud? Why would they bury their heads in the sand over what Clinton did with that private server, the deleted emails that would probably send her to jail if we had a non corrupt justice system under Obama? How can these people be complicit and agree to the criminality, to the corruption? I am sure in the future there will be psychology and political books written about this, what creates it, and so on.

That's what I cannot understand. I have been a Democrat all my life - but I do not recognize those people. They are not democrats, they are not liberals. If they call themselves "progressive" - what the hell are they progressing towards? Despotism?
    Looks like it.

And PS - lets not overlook the firebombing of a Trump campaign headquarters.
That's the kind of occurrence Clinton supporters are voting for.

LOL! You made a claim about TV ratings. I showed you that your claim was nonsense. You responded with a screed about media bias, which has nothing to do with the ratings claim I debunked. I pointed this out, and you call me soft-headed. Massive fail.

And for the record, I think TV journalism in general is sloppy and shallow. I don't watch it. I get my news from a variety of print-oriented sources. I watch TV for entertainment, not news.

Well, from my talks with friends and family, most of them are sick and tired of all the election coverage; they cannot wait for it to be over so they can get back to life as normal such as it is for them.

    Personal observation.

All of the conservatives I know pay attention to the issues. They listen to conservative radio, but they also watch CNN and MSNBC for perspective.

The liberals I know don't watch any news or commentary programs. But they love reality TV. The Kardashians has been a long time liberal favorite, along with those singing competitions.

The NFL has a ratings problem. Monday Night Football is down 24% from last year at this time, Sunday Night Football is down 19% and Thursday night is down 18%.

MMS is quick to say it's all because of fantasy football. Really?

I think it's because sport fans want to see the players working their magic -- not pontificating on politics and society.
