That depends entirely on your state legislature as to whether you get to vote for your STATE electors who then go and vote on behalf of the STATE. Your state legislature does not have to grant you that privilege. And the fact remains twice as many STATES voted for Trump than Clinton.

Only if your state legislature allows it to but it only applies to YOUR State. The your STATE electors go and cast the STATE electoral votes on behalf of the STATE.

Oh you are going argue we are not really the United STATES of America now.

The STATE electors cast the STATE's electoral votes. Your state legislature could choose the electors and for whom they would vote and you would have no recourse in the matter.

Trump fell in love with the communist dictator of North Korea over love letters and bent over backwards visiting Kim in North Korea, doing exactly what Kim wanted, have the powerful American President come to him. It was a great photo op, and Trump didn't mind that he embarrassed himself and his country.

Trump joked with the communist dictator of Russian over Russia's interference in our election, and laughed mightily when talking about the American news media with Trump suggesting he would like to get rid of them.

Then Trump sat down with the communist dictator of China, Xi Jinping, and granted him two major concessions without getting a thing in return.

Trump uses harsh tariffs to get what he wants. Tariffs are a liberal concept.

You support Trump, right. What does that make you?

Don't question my political views again. You are not qualified. You support a President who loves being chummy with communist dictators.

Trump walked a few steps into NK without any secret service guys surrounding him. Maybe you don't realize or care, but NK is a major problem in the area, and sometimes diplomacy means being nice to terrible people.

Kinda like what Obama did when he made it legal for Americans to visit Cuba, or what nixon did with China. If Trump can help those poor sad sacks in NK live just slightly better lives by taking a few steps into NK, then I'm not seeing the problem.

So the point is that you completely missed my meaning and chose a different one that afforded you the opportunity to argue. You'll have to find another poster to argue with. But I'm confident that you will as you always do.

Well, I'm glad they're coming around on the constitutionality of the National Popular Vote Bill.

I haven't missed a thing your point is specious at best, and no, state sovereignty still exist and the STATES elect the President not the People. There is no "the popular vote" in our country. There are 51 unique and separate popular votes.

    You said
    That is patently false.

So you like "the collective" now. LOL!!!

You are arguing a different issue than I am.
State: "There is no single, undisputed, definition of what constitutes a state. A widely-used definition is a state being a polity that, within a given territory, maintains a monopoly on the use of force..."
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_(polity)

State: "a people permanently occupying a fixed territory bound together by common habits and custom into one body politic exercising, through the medium of an organized government, independent sovereignty and control over all persons and things within its boundaries"

"The section of territory occupied by one of the United States."

I am a republican, NOT A TRUMPET moron, I pretty much said the exact same thing in another thread.

Harris was the best thing that could have happened to insure TRump of another term the night of the debate.

Some are lying, some exaggerating, some describing boorish behavior about which I don't care. You ever stepped out of line?

Notice that not a single person who lost in the electoral college has subscribed to this "explanation."

Yea, really. I am talking about real presidential candidates, of course, not your buddies giving you attaboys on the forum.

No, the Constitution establishes the electoral college, not anonymous internet posters who get butt hurt when they don't get their way.

There's the text of the constitution, every member of the supreme court, the presidential candidates, and the secretaries of state for all 50 states who read it one way, and you who read it differently.

Nope. I gave a clear explanation of my meaning.

You seem to be pretty hyper about arguing with me on this. That usually means recognition of one's own weakness.

Being around back then, if I remember correctly something like 7% of whites supported busing and only 9% of blacks supported busing.
