One-Sided Rules of War

Again a reminder. US revolutionaries were treated as "terrorists" in the British press for their tactics, particularly the hit and run rather than line up and march into a fight. Washington was profoundly condemned for his sneak attack at Valley Forge.

I by no means condone the actions of Hamas but I do understand them but it's too many innocents paying the price for the guilty. I also do not condone the actions of Israeli forces in Palestine for precisely the same reason.

I've said before and I'll repeat. Israel needs to give the Palestinians full authority in their own nation thereby eliminating the raison d'etre for militant Hamas. Make Jerusalem an independent religious state like the Vatican. If Palestine attacks after that then Israel can justify retribution, as it is now it's just American revolutionaries, albeit far more extreme, all over again.

 

It has been sixteen years since Palestinians in Gaza have been allowed a free election.
