It doesn’t have to have been completely defunded to count. There have been many that were partially defunded. It would be foolish indeed to not take issue with that until they were completely defunded. The point of activism is to protect ourselves before stupid hits its peak. Not wait until it peaks before taking issue.

And the lack of success for fully defunding is not from the lack of trying on behalf of the left.

 

My local department has a unit of ofcrs that’s trained with mental health issues. A better alternative to social workers.

Before defund, crime was going down. Since defund started, crime has been going up. Do the math.

 

I've seen a cop lie in court under oath. I've also had a judge tell us that after a full days trial and a lot of expense- that he couldn't decide, and we should figure it out for ourselves.
The fact our systems have failures and weak people is pretty much human nature. I think flawless performance is the objective, but not the only thing we should settle for.
Certainly- if we throw out anything not perfect, we will have nothing. I'm a reformed perfectionist that had to learn the hard way....
