I wouldn't say she is a genius or an expert, she has more of a layperson's knowledge of politics, like people on this forum. She does seem to know her way about politics and is reasonably good at debating the issues. But she isn't experienced with the technical aspects of the issues and just doesn't have any real experience.

Yet the newest plant in the US took 40 years to build and is the first one to come on line in 20 years. Environmental regulations are the main reason. See any irony there? No, you've heard her comment on comments by Republicans. I've yet to see her sit down with a single Republican and debate them face to face. Some have even offered rather large sums of money to her choice of charity just to sit down with her and debate and she has refused every single time.

Every country but the US supposedly is all in on the current climate change narrative. Yet Australia is exporting coal hand over fist to countries where it can be burned with less environmental regulations. Russia, South America, the Middle East, etc. are pumping oil as fast as they can sell it. None of these countries have a GOP. None. Austria built a nuclear power plant and never used it. No GOP. Many European countries plan to phase out nuclear power, one being Germany who is buying more and more fossil fuel from Russia. No GOP in either country.

France is “environmentally minded” country and produces more nuclear energy per capita than any other country. The US lags far behind. Because of environmental regulations that make it neatly impossible to bring plants on line here. Regulations that are historically....not GOP developed or promoted.

My segment of the economy has boundless capabilities to sequester carbon and to produce renewable energy. The government (all political parties) has no problem attempting to regulate the industry and has no problem incentivizing behavior with money. The government has no problem giving someone money to install a stock tank of the incorrect size for the application yet nothing concrete is attempted in the area of carbon sequestration. Most advancements in this area are adopted voluntarily by producers with technology developed and paid for by the free market. Yet I’m told only central government planning can solve climate change.

Renewable bioenergy made huge advances. When it became really viable and was ready to make greater strides forward, it was abandoned by the environmental movement and Democratic politicians.

Now I do not consume any Fox News. I will listen to Limbaugh from time to time but agree his knowledge of environmental issues is lacking. I take his thoughts on the subject as seriously as John Lovett’s, whom I also listen to sometimes. So please address the intellectual arguments of my post if you are able and save the Fox ridiculousness argument for someone else.

 

Oh good lord; Trump's real approval rating is being artificially lowered by a MSM overtly working for the DNC, and that same MSM artificially elevated Obama's real numbers. Obama was no where nearly as well liked as deliberately skewed Dem numbers claimed . . . witness that he had no political coat tails to speak of. An Obama endorsement was usually the political kiss of death.

 

AOC has as good a chance as Obama when he came from no where, had a big mouth, had the media behind him, and said he wanted to fundamentally change the USA. But 8 years is a long time in politics and by 2028 people may ask,"who is AOC"?. Lots will change and many new faces will appear on the political scene. Then remember Trump has started a popular trend with his brand and MAGA. The dem party is shrinking in size as it self-destructs by its "smart" leaders.
