Are the KKK liberal or conservative?

Since the Democrat party is the one doing it's best to keep minorities down, wouldn't they be better called the racists?

To claim a party is racist leaves only conclusion. They both are. Neither of them are.

1. Both are racist. They play racial games with each other. Both sides try to keep as many people poor as possible. It makes it easier to offer free stuff. Both sides, but especially dems, think minorities cannot possibly compete in the job market without quotas to help them.

2. Neither are racist as neither party platform has anything to do with racism. They are made of people. GOP has shown for decades that it is OK being labeled racist and made no attempt to make inroads into minority communities. Dems are perfectly happy to claim anything GOP does is racist.

Anyone that tries to claim I am nlt correct is just showing a bias. Nothing I said can be refuted with facts. I will point out that the dems make a concerted effort to drag down any GOP minorities, especially black. The GOP doesn't do itself any favors running people like Carson and Gain though.

 

I resurrected the thread and quoted a message you recently posted because you made the claim quality conservatives are KKK and that is a lie. You offer no evidence to support your claim and can't even prove the KKK are conservatives.

 

The KKK were racist Democrats. They didn't respect the philosophy of individual freedoms and rights written into our founding documents and Constitution either.

You seem to think being a racist is antithetical to also being a socialist, a Communist, a fascist, or even a modern day liberal progressive.

 

Exactly, as if being a racist precludes a person from identifying with any political party.

 

Democrats are not liberals. They are social liberals which is not liberalism at all. A liberal sees the government as an unfortunately necessary evil. It's like owning a gun for self protection. You don't want to use it, but you might need it. A social liberal, on the other hand, believes that the government has a duty to address societal issues that arise due to an unequal ownership of resources.

This expansion of government power that social liberals want, and have been very successful at implementing, is the exact opposite of what a classical liberal would want in this day and age.

 

I think the progressives use the term "liberal" because it makes it sound as if they favor the individual rights and freedoms, of the 18th century classic liberals.

The centralized government socialists, are not classic liberals, and there sure as hell can be racists, and bigots,

 

Were they really conservatives or bad loser racist Democrat Southerners that created the KKK and wanted to keep people enslaved? Were they Democrats in the early 20th Century that elected Woodrow Wilson had that great KKK march down Pennsylvania Ave., a million strong and Woody claimed that Birth of a Nation was the best movie ever made?

 

Liberals and Democrats make up the left even if they have different views and they both support the same candidates and a lot of the same things. I'm not saying the left supports the KKK but there is no proof the right supports it either. The klan is estimated to have less than 10,000 members left so they don't really have any influence anymore.

 

The Southern Democrats were Populist and of course segregationist too. They found their home in the Democrat party which embraced them and put them into high position both in government and in the party. Even after the brief Dixiecrat split and their loss they went right back into the Democrat party. And yes it was the Democrat party that founded the KKK to fight off the Republicans.

 

The Klan that did exist during the civil rights era?

They were Populist.
Pro-union
Anti-Israel
Anti big corporations and the wealthy
For the little guy, the blue collar guy
Big state government

The Klan of today, you mean a few zealots trying to attract attention? There is no Klan to even speak of these days.

 

Even the most ridiculous people are right once in a while , nobody likes a liberal .

 

I don't know any conservatives that hate Jews, immigrants that come here legally or African Americans.

The Klan does not really exist anymore. People think that the Klan is still a problem and it is not. Well said.

 

That makes no sense because the Republicans were the ones who forced passage of the civil rights act.

 

The left needs the klan to be relevant, when in reality they're not.

Democrat terrorism hasn't changed. They ditched the KKK for Unions, #OWS, #BLM and #Antifa. The name may have changed but their tactics are the same. The racists attack churches, Conservative gatherings, speakers, Police, and old people that unable to defend themselves.

Neither, they are big government statists, certainly not small government conservatives, and definitely not classical liberals. You cannot have the sort of racial laws they want without a massive and intrusive government to enforce them. The Klan was deeply embedded in the Progressive movement of the thirties especially the eugenics wing. So much so, in fact, one of it's primary spokes people Margaret Sanger Smith gave at least two speeches at Klan rallies. That, like it or not, is a historical fact. Sadly it took Adolph Hitler to discredit the Eugenics movement. by putting it into practice on an industrial scale.

 

As when it was invented by democrats, the KKK is still part of the democrat party. Todays democrat PRETEND to like blacks, but it is only to pander for their votes in elections. Then when the election is over, not so much. So--------------what did Obama do for blacks?

 

Those aren't alt-right positions. There is no KKK to speak of and their Populist beliefs have more in common with Bernie Sanders.

 

Still democrats tho. But now they dumped their white sheets for black uniforms and black hoods. Still violent haters. It is one of the many reasons democrats keep losing elections.
