It's disturbing how some would stand on the gravestones of dead children to pontificate on the wrongs of private gun ownership, while at the exact same moment they are sweeping dead abortion victims under the rug.

 

Guns existed BEFORE both Republicans or the NRA.

You and your child are FAR more likely to be shot while being car jacked in one of the urban progressive cities, which ironically would be considered a "mass shooting" for statistics.

But for some reason, progressive liberals ignore these statistics, even using them to molest data, and advocate for gun control. Yet it's largely THEIR cities with the issue.

I guess it's just easier (and more dishonest) to create this boogeyman situation of random large scale mass shootings to continue to push for policies that clearly don't work.

Want the change? Pass a constitutional amendment. Nobody is stopping the left from doing that.

Or.... the more reasonable and logical approach. Evaluate WHY policies already imposed in urban areas by progressive liberals do not work, what happened to societal breakdown, and ponder if maybe, just maybe, it's the progressive agenda that's the problem.

Are you aware of the fact there was no significant change in sales of AR-15s before the 1994 assault weapons ban was proposed and passed? During the period of 1994-2004 the sales of AR-15 weapons increased substantially for the first time in history.


In 1992 about 100,000 new manufacture AR-15s were purchased. In 1994 that rose to 200,000. In 1996, because production of the new models without bayonet lugs and flash hiders wasn’t ramped up yet only 70,000 were sold that year. But every year after, sales of newly manufactured AR-15s increased substantially, and by 2004 there were three times as many being purchased as before the ban. So during the so called ban, sales of AR-15s more than TRIPLED.

Since 2004, the biggest spikes in sales have occurred at the times of both Obama elections, when Congress attempted a ban in 2013, and the biggest increase of all when Biden was elected.
