And there you go. Dismissal of legislation that would leave ownership in place but mandate responsibility. What is so difficult bout being a responsible gun owner?

you mean the twerps who call infringing on the rights of citizens "firearms responsibility". Or those who dishonestly clamor for said infringements and pretend public safety is what motivates them rather than a political animus? My signature has never been disproven

every irresponsible thing someone can do with a gun can lead to serious criminal or ruinous civil consequences. Your posts have demanded far more than 'responsible' gun ownership. It's just a step towards the gun bans most of the leftwing gun restrictionists eventually hope to see happen.

Sorry band wagon hopping is not proof of intellectual accomplishment. For the most part it is proof of either intellectual laziness or cowardice. By the way there is, in this thread zero proof of you assertion.

Have they? Mostly what I advocate for is locking up of guns. But I will accede that I dislike high powered rapid fire weapons that can so seriously injure a child that we have to get DNA evidence to identify them. Can you point to one post of mine where I have called for banning of guns?

you claimed you constantly complain about gun ownership because you were mad about the NRA criticizing your government's nanny state gun laws. Tell me what is a rapid fire weapon. My son-using an 8 shot revolver, often outshoots people using 17 shot semi automatics in speed events.

You are talking to responsible gun owners. They don’t think it’s hard being responsible. Why not ask irresponsible gun owners why it’s hard to be responsible. Then you may get somewhere.

You are trying to convince people who are ALREADY responsible of their own volition to be responsible by some mandate. If you want to get traction you will have to make a logical argument.

Thank you for establishing that you really do NOT understand that it is the GOP/NRA gun CULTURE that is the PROBLEM that they have IMPOSED on our nation.

Guns are MADE with a SINGLE function...to KILL!

The GOP/NRA Gun CULTURE is one of FEAR and DEATH!

The GOP/NRA want We the People to be AFRAID so that they will BUY more GUNS.

Who BENEFITS from those gun purchases?

That you are UNABLE to even grasp the CORE problem says VOLUMES.

    Sad!

Once AGAIN you CONFIRM that you do NOT understand the BASICS of the Constitution and the Commerce clause.

Looks like we are going to have to do this the SLOW way.

Does your PURCHASE of a bible fall under the Commerce clause?

    Yes or no?

Derideo_Te, I asked you to explain your reasoning several times. You don't. I don't think it's because just because you don't want to explain your reasoning. I think you want me to explain it to everyone for you. -

The commerce clause is about regulating transportation not bibles. If you want books to fall under the commerce clause as having their sale regulated fine, but you cannot make special regulations for bibles and not other books without running afoul of the Bill of Rights. Same with guns. If you want to make rules for guns they also apply to similar products.

Do you know what "commerce" means?

    Hilarious!

Thanks for CLARIFYING that you DID miss Civics 101 classes.

Did you know that if you grow and consume your own vegetables that ALSO falls under the Commerce Clause?

Obviously NOT because you BELIEVE that the Commerce Clause just means you had to pay that NASTY Federal TAX because your gas guzzling SUV was made in a different state to where you live, right?

    @Derideo_Te -

Do you know that if you regulate the transportation and sale of books under the commerce clause you cannot make special regulations restricting the sale of bibles?

It's because of the bill of rights- "congress shall make no law establishing religion nor prohibiting the free practice thereof".

Of course a bible isn't a gun. Guns are not protected under the 1st amendment, the possession of guns falls under the 2nd amendment which states the the people's rights to keep and bear arms "shall not be infringed".

So you hang onto that commerce clause with all your might, praying that somehow, some way, and some day the Articles in the constitution will allow you to violate The People's Bill of Rights. Good luck with that.

So you think you know what the word commerce means, and you really want us to beleive that you know what the word "commerce" means. But you don't really know what the word "commerce" means.

"Commerce" is synonymous with intercourse. Article 1 section 8 clause three grants congress the power to regulate intercouse between states concerning trade of goods. It does not give congress the power to burden gun owners.

Thanks for the public display of credulity, claiming that our government is of the people that is for the people. Pure propaganda, embraced and repeated in public.

While SOME of what you say has merit let's put a bookmark on this post and revisit AFTER we see the voter TURNOUT numbers in 2024. Something tells me that We the People are going to be showing up in RECORD numbers.
