BLM tearing down statues and getting in the faces of restaurant Patrons. Even so far as to gunning down Senators while they play baseball! You have no comparisons at all!

 

This video is an example of what an authoritarian does. An authoritarian attempts to force others to act the way the authoritarian wants them to act. An authoritarian punishes (or threatens to punish) others who don't think like the authoritarian.

First off, your assumption was erroneous from the start, if you thought that the issue about which she was speaking, & whether or not I agreed with her opinion, had a whit to do with my comment, that the way this encounter was being portrayed, in the OP, was very hyperbolic.

Secondly, once more, you have no basis for thinking that you know my motivations. Especially if you wish others to accept your assurance, that you would not support a pro-lifer who acted similarly to this Dreamer, then common courtesy (on which you seem to judge yourself something of an authority), would dictate your accepting my saying that my opinion is what it is, for the reasons to which I alluded.

Of course, I could come back and claim that you are only saying that you would not be hypocritical, in order to serve your own purposes, in this argument. I could even go back & scour anti-abortion threads, for a post of yours that condones someone who exceeded norms of good taste, and propriety, in a far more grievous way than talking in a bathroom. Just responding to your point about the creepiness of following a woman into a bathroom. My POINT, was not about Trump (but your picture of him groping the flag made for a ready example)-- it was that WHO is doing the following, and for WHAT PURPOSE, are central factors in how, "creepy," it is.

 

This is what the confrontation culture looks like when people overplay their hand and end up looking like the bad guys. It is becoming more common when people feel that its ok to confront anyone at any place and time. Look at Jan-6 when an army of people assaulted the Capitol to confront members of Congress.

Well an actual insurrection would require more than fighting with cops and the cops shooting an unarmed woman. Fighting with cops have been fairly frequent across American cities the past few years. Rushing a lawmaker with a camera into a restroom seems like a deliberate effort to intimidate a lawmaker. I think if it was a male running into the bathroom with camera, that guy would be in jail now, agree?

Trump supporters said this was fine because they were simply holding their constituents accountable. Plenty of videos of Republicans who voted to impeach being harassed. Did the MSM bury those videos?

 

I think your description mischaracterizes the incident. A constituent was trying to air a grievance to her elected official. That official entered a lavatory, & the constituent followed her in, continuing to make her points. At worst, one might cite a lack of politeness. Though, in the case of speaking to a politician, some allowance is generally made for taking whatever opportunity presents itself. I am sure that women, having a conversation, don't immediately cease speaking, as soon as they enter a bathroom. If this isn't an artificially ginned-up controversy, and you truly are shocked by seeing a woman speak to another while she is in a bathroom stall-- though not so shocked that you can't watch the video of it-- then that says more about your own sense about the privacy (read shamefulness, or at least embarrassing nature) of bodily functions.

 

The Democrats have their Brown Shirt to try and keep any dissent squashed.
