Mini golf and bowling are both a blast. In Austin, I've even seen people tote a keg around the mini golf course, so that's always fun lol.

Bowling and mini golf are both great ideas for a date, though I've always found it to be even better when you are going on a date and hanging out with friends at the same time.

I have already said too many crazy things about my past. It's best to keep it buried lol.

Yeah apart from the water into wine job, it was also served at the last supper where he told his mates- "The next time I drink this fruit of the vine, I'll be drinking it fresh and new with you in my father's kingdom"

I've only been candlepin bowling but I thought it was fun! I like games.

Yeah, games are great way to have fun and get to know people. Do you like cards against humanity? I love that game!

 

True on a lot of fronts, but really, even dropping the busybody thing of a stranger, a lot of women has a problem with heavy drinking when it comes to settling down for the night or settling down for a relationship -- at that point, I can't blame them, because it actually is their business. My wife (who is far out of my league), absolutely hates it when I drink too much. She says it turns her into a babysitter rather than a date, which I can see. For her, it is way sexier for her to be the one who drinks to much and for me to swoop in has her level-headed protector. She's very convincing.

As far as Austin goes, I'd suggest two things:

1) Have you tried kava? It is a perfectly legal drug, a great downer without the debilitating side effects of alcohol or marijuana, and there are two bars that serve it in the area: a SquareRut on Barton Springs and another SquarRut on North Lamar. Cheaper than alcohol too. In all transparency, however, it tastes like pond water. Think about it, though: if you get into it and you meet a girl there, you already have something to talk about.

2) Consider a trip to College Station every once in a while. Still a lot of attractive women, cheaper bars and less pressure from the dating scene. Come to think of it, you might want to try out some of the rest of the surrounding area, especially since Tinder is a thing everywhere now.

Nah, Jesus and his mum were at a wedding reception but the caterers messed up and the wine ran out, so his mum said "Hey baby, can you be a good boy and pull some of that miracle stuff to get us some more wine?"
So he did it as a favour and as far as we know he never asked for cash.

 

I completely agree and understand. I also hate being around drunk people when I'm sober, no matter how well they are handling it. I used to have a girlfriend who liked getting wasted and waking me up in the middle of the night.

Are you sure this stuff is legit and actually effective? I would be overjoyed to find something like that.

I'm truly not interested in meeting anyone right now. I'm not at my best, either physically or financially, so anyone I can't find the quality of woman I'm looking for, at the moment. I should be highly competitive on the dating market within the next two years. It may sound shallow, but I have my standards for others and myself that I'm not currently meeting.

You want me to go prowling for Aggies?! Just kidding, but I think I'll wait for a bit. I just got a job and am in a position to get my debt down, finally achieve fluency in Chinese (I'm hiring a tutor for $300 a month), finish my degree, and get back into shape. If I try to go find a partner prematurely, I'll end up getting less than what I'm capable of getting.

I hate looking at relationships like I do markets, but that is what it is.

By the way, do you come into Austin much? I know you live in the area, but not in the city, if I remember correctly.

 

Candlepin bowling is the same as regular bowling only the balls are smaller and the pins are more cylinder shaped.

I'm keeping it pretty minimal. In the last week, I've had about 12 drinks. I'll probably be drinking tonight, but I'm going to try keeping it light because my body needs rest and quality sleep. I'm exhausted from this job and need the rest.

 

I'm small, and the smaller balls are easier to handle. No pun intended!

Guess how many alcoholic drinks I've had in the past 6 months? Like 4. Lol.

About a hundred too few! Drinking is fun if you do it responsibly. Next time you go bowling you should try it with 3 drinks in you and see how you like it.

 

I don't like how alcohol makes me feel out of control. It's not like I've never had one too many. I have. I don't like it.
