Mostly we don't care and it doesn't matter except that it's been an effective tool for getting dumb poor people to vote repubilican, just like other facets of the culture wars, past and present. On a related note, the dumb poor conservative people don't like democrats for calling them dumb, or most infamously, deplorable.

It's definitely not the case that democrats are more in bed with the rich than republicans, but I can see where they seem to stand apart less than they used to, and so that's been a weakening factor in keeping the poor with the democrats. Republican may want a flat tax that hurts the poor, but democrats are more likely to allow globalism to take their jobs than MAGAs, or so it seems.

Um, the working class is another name for the lower class i.e. the poor. Don't let the name fool you, they aren't working. They are very much on government benefits and depend on them for life.

It makes me bewildered why they would support Republicans over Democrats because it's the Republican's fault that wages across the country are so low. And why they are in this mess in the first place. It's a game of economic roulette!

The irony is that until 2000 when West Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee turned against Al Gore and later in the Midwest vs Obama and Biden they were the democrats base. The GOP has gone from a middle class, small business, and big business party to a middle class, small business, and working class party. When establishment big business, big tech, big bank elites switched to the democrats the working class switched to the GOP. The small business and middle class stayed GOP and the non/lightly working poor stayed democrat. Now middle and working class and small business minority communities members are beginning to transition to the GOP.

Why should they have to be resisted in the first place. Why are teachers who would allow such being hired in the first place and why are they still there?

 

More than that and what does it have to do with them visiting there? We are a NATION.

 

I don't think there is anything wrong with a drag queen reading or discussing diversity with a group of children.

Many people feel the same way.

Yes, i think there are many things that some drag queens can teach children. There is no reason that being a drag queen would disqualify someone from being a role model for children.

 

Give me some things it takes a drag queen to teach young children.

 

I never said that only a drag queen can teach certain lessons.

When I was in school we had a guy called Bobo the clown come every year and do magic tricks and talk about life lessons. It was great, but it didn't have to be done by a clown, but it worked just fine.

I never had a clown in my school we did have people we could admire and respect come and speak to us but were it a clown I would not have assigned some deviant behavior or lifestyle to it.

 

Yea supply-side did both in the 1990's and early 2000's and I get it you think drag queen shows are good for little children, feel free to occupy that ground and proclaim, I have no intention of trying to stop you I enjoy watching such things.

I doubt any school your children attend would have a drag queen as a guest speaker. So you should sleep easy at night.

Drag queens make me want to vomit. I just don't think it matters in terms of children's well-being. Trickle down didn't work. The middle class has not done well and income inequality has increased, while deficits have ballooned.

 

They make you sick but think young children can handle it...?

The middle class did best under supply-side, the proper term, than the demand-side, Keynesian of the left. As did the budget and deficits.

 

A lot of things annoy me or make me sick, including clowns and a majority of children's shows, but I don't think they're inherently harmful to children. If one were to assert harm though, it shouldn't be based upon whim but rather some kind of evidence.

Interesting how the deficits increase so much with republican presidents compared to democrats then. And interesting how tax cuts for the rich don't trickle down.
