No thanks. If I am going to shoot a scatter gun, I want it on my shoulder. That looks like something that would very well fly right out of your hands upon firing.

It's not just me thinking that, then! I prefer not living in fear over the miniscule chance that someone would ever break into my home (while I was there to do anything about it) and threaten me. I have numerous large, heavy and/or objects around the place to use in an emergency, of course, but it's not something I ever think about, because the chances of it ever happening are so utterly insignificant. For security, I have locks, a good alarm system, and 2 very large dogs - that's plenty for me.
Most shotguns it is possible to miss. Some, not. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ebtj1jR7c"]AA-12. World's deadliest shotgun! - YouTube[/ame]
No one is living in fear though. What is the leap between having a firearm by the bed and taking the effort to arm and disarm an alarm system on a daily basis? Locking your doors on a daily basis?
Just like going to the grocery store, being prepared to have food when you are hungry, that's all. ...or making sure the darn cats have food, so they don't wake you up at 5 am.lol
Best shotgun I have ever owned. Semi auto 5 shot. Never jammed once....and I have really put it to the test. Obviously a saw off shotgun would be better for really close range firing in small quarters such as a home but they are illegal here in arkansas. The next best thing is a semi auto shotgun such as the remington 1100.
In my home it would be a Mossberg 500 tactical persauder and my wife will be backing me up with her pistol w/ct laser. She is serious about her safety.....
this baby pwns them both: never jams, never runs out of ammo, if it over penetrates, all you have is a burglar on a stick...and when the police take it from you (as they do with all weapons that havew bodies on them) you can go get another for $10 at the Army-Navy store. since that's not an option in this poll..i'd go with the Remy. running out of ammo isn't a big hassle when you have a fixed stock to bludgeon anything that survives 6-7 rounds of 12g shot. if it's still moving after 7 rounds of shot, you (*)(*)(*)(*) well better make sure it's dead before you turn your back on it! that, and the longer sight radius.
Because you have a legal system. I have no home defence at all, yet I have never been attacked, or robbed. In an absolute anarchy, how long do you think that would last?
I also have never been attacked or robbed nor has my home been been broken into. Part of the reason is the area in which I live. There is virtually no crime here in Jackson. Our biggest problem is drunk drivers. You can have the best legal system in the world, that won't stop criminals from doing what they do. My home defense system will allow me to perhaps survive if and when it does happen. It never hurts to be prepared. Remember that old saying. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of trouble.
No, your prisons are fuller than any country. In the history of the world the US has imprisioned more of its population than any other country, ever.
The best home defense weapons is one that kills the intruder so they can't sue you in a liberal courtroom when you only wound them.
