Another political witch hunt? After six years of treasonous behavior by Democrats in doing everything they can to cripple and destroy a man legitimately elected as President for their own petty grievances you guys still persist. Not something that will be remembered kindly by history.

I read an article somewhere that, if the entire world were to meet its electric vehicle goals, it would reduce global temperature by 1/10,000 of 1 degree. Lets put more effort in ending the scourge of drug overdose deaths or improve treatment of cancer. I don't want to force people to electric vehicles. It simply doesn't matter.

 

The companies aren't willing to risk the costs given the toxic environment the federal government has created for oil. That's what they say. Biden just put a ban on new leases despite a court ruling. It doesn't exactly build confidence. We will have to wait for a new administration.

The onion layers peel off one by one where inside the onion is the truth that Democrats don't give a damn how much the poor pay for goods and services. Just like getting vaccinated, people just need to suck it up, do their patriotic duty, and pay more for gas prices, and the poor need to make the greatest sacrifice.

I read it and what a delightful article. Compared oil/gas production to 2020, well 2020 was down 2,000 barrels a day compared to 2019. Then we have the new lefty motto....First it says Biden permits were ahead of Trumps, then later mentioned it was court ordered. Then it went on about how even if he opened up leases it would be a few years before we saw production, so again thank goodness Trump sold those permits, the court ordered Biden to issue the permits, or we would be in bad shape. It blames Europe for using Russian oil/gas, which I agree but some reason forgot to mention Biden approved the damn pipeline for them to do it. It stayed away from him shutting down American pipelines. The rest was lefty feels on Green Energy which everyone loves yet somehow we can't get enough to supply the grid.

 

The Court ruled Biden had to issue the Permits Trump sold. I love watching the left take credit for something Trump did, it really tells you how out of touch they have been.

 

So, contrary to the popular belief that Biden refuses to issue leases, he has been handing them out like candy and now the federal court ordered him to stop.

 

What part of this is so complicated for you, this isn't a today only thing.
Producers rely on new permits because ofcourse oil isn't like your faucet, you find, test, drill and sale.
The permits being COURT ORDERED APPROVED are from 2019.
What happens in 2023/2024 when new permits are nowhere to be found. Or you just want to fly by the seat of your pants and hope the tooth fairy waves its magic wand finds abundance of Green energy? Oil price is based on supply and supply projections as are all commodities, if we're not issuing new permits the supply will be viewed as down, hence higher prices. In a time of war and record inflation you should show you're committed to increasing supply, not decreasing. I don't care if your left, right or an independent this energy plan is causing pain today and will in the future.

They are rolling the court ordered permits sold in 2019. Yes we've established this for days now. They tried to stop them, got sued and were forced to issue the one's sold in 2019. We have known this since last year.

Do you understand commodity prices, it seems not. Will prices remain high if we don't increase supply? What would happen if America announced its increasing production by 20% in 2022 to become a net exporter again.

We are increasing production, but if we do it just to send it out of the country (as you suggest), then oil companies would make more money by selling US oil to foreign countries.
