You didn't bother to look at the link from a retired admiral stating that the US running out of ammo in May 2023 or the link from Feb 2023 from a retired marine colonel saying the same thing or the link from Sep 2022 by Centre for Strategic studies saying the same thing. On one of the links they specifically referenced 155 shells. "Classified info" ! LOL

So, just out of curiousity, what do you think Putin's next move will be, vis-a-vis our temporary shortage of 155 ammo? Invasion of Toledo? Nome Alaska?

“We are low” is pretty non-specific. I’ve been reading that for months. It’s hardly a big reveal.

 

From Jan 2017 until Jan 2021, the ONLY standard that MAGA applied to the POTUS was, “was it illegal? If not, it’s ok.”

So - did Biden do anything illegal? Hell - did he even say anything that wasn’t already public knowledge?

On the US sending these "cluster munitions" to Ukraine, I understand why it's controversial, but it seems to me like a perfect marriage of a country with ample amounts of a type of munition unlikely to be used otherwise (USA), and an invaded country who seems perfectly willing to use them on their own homeland to retake parts of their country back (Ukraine).

 

Did he reveal a military secret? I thought this was public knowledge.

I'm against cluster bombs. I've read about the effects on Iraqi children. 20 million were dropped on Iraq and children are still being blown up 20 years later.

 

I hear that and it's certainly a tough call (and not the point of this silly thread). I can see both sides here, but in this unique case of using them as almost a defensive weapon on your own soil by your own military, I think the scale tilts slightly towards using them. If they start using them on Russian soil, which they richly deserve BTW, then I might rethink....

Also have to believe the dud rate has been reduced in 20 years, but if it hasn't, a free Ukraine (hopefully) will have some serious clean up to do in the future...

Why do you think Putin would wait for this non-story to ask China for more advice and munitions?? Do you think there was a meeting in the Kremlin, with somebody saying "Hey, Biden says the US is low on 155.... NOW is the time to ask China for more munitions to use in Ukraine" (although in Russian)

It’s now official that we are low… Not sure that confirmation of speculation is a good thing, when one is speaking on how much ammo one has, when you’re supplying a war effort against an enemy.
