Surprise! I used to own an AR-15, so I do have first-hand knowledge about the efficiency of the weapon and how deadly it can be when decked out with large-capacity magazines, flash suppressors, and collapsible stock. That was way back in the early eighties before it became enshrined as a mythical weapon because of the association and perception it has in the public mind.

 

Those same things can and are used on other rifles. Additionally, the AR15 isn't even used in even half of the mass shootings that happen. Not even a quarter actually. Yet its the one focused on by people like you and the media. If its so deadly, so "enshrined as a mythical weapon", then why isn't it used more?

So, did you think about why government shouldn't be making laws based on emotion yet?

Yes, it is quite obvious that we do not share the same moral values. I want to protect children AND our 2nd Amendment Rights. I've come up with solutions that safeguard our Rights AND will help protect children. The only "solution" you've proposed is banning some guns that doesn't solve any actual problems.
