Accomplishing the end goal…? No. As Biden pointed out, the US forces would easily triumph in such an encounter. But, how much harm could be achieved along the way? A motivated band of well-armed morons could still wreak havoc amongst the general public, amongst govt officials, amongst local law enforcement, etc, before they are ultimately stopped.

The plan of Trump's contingent of seditious conspirators was to cause enough chaos to postphone the EC vote certification long enough to force the election of the President to the House of Representatives, where Trump would have won because there are more red States and each state gets one vote. Of course Trumps crowd couldn't, by force, take down OUR Government, but they could have caused a Constitutional crisis that would have ended in Trump's favor.
