Your question is flawed — if we could guarantee that “honest American” only could get these types of weapons I don’t think anyone would have an issue with them. But we cannot. And when they are used in mass shooting events the death toll raises significantly.

To directly answer your question — no.

As a gun owner (I have 9 between my home and two offices) I do believe if we don’t have some type of discussion on the issue — eventually the public will turn against them completely. It’s already happening in younger generations.

IMHO, this thread is about the futility of American civilians hypothetically taking on our military.

IF, Trump is elected in the fall, as I did in 16, I will support him as my President, until as last time he proves he's unworthy of that support. But, that doesn't mean I would work against him. I would, as last time, become a voice against his criminality. Which, if the past predicts the future, we can expect more of if he's reelected.
