constitutional rights override the often low information views of stupid people. why are you so afraid to tell us if you think any firearms are protected by the second amendment are you going to try to help confiscate firearms if a majority of stupid people vote to do so?
I'll defer that discussion to an appropriate thread. Thank you for your complete surrender. Have a good day.
you're the one who has run away-you cannot even tell us what firearms are protected by the second amendment, rather you claim that constitutional rights are subject to the whims of the majority. cowardly
Despite your laughable attempts at some kind of comparison, UK has one of the lowest rates of firearm homicide in the world, with a rate of approximately 0.05 gun homicide per 100,000 of the population. I guess they wanted to keep it low, and avoid the American path.
why do you constantly not respond to the points being made he said crime soared after gun bans. your response is worthless. You fail to address the point because you don't like it. you refuse to answer a relevant question about the second amendment. I find this often among gun banners. They try to defend the facade they put forward in order to serve as a pretext for their real motivations. Of course, they rarely can defend the facade since they don't really believe in it
Oh, so we talking about countries other than the US now? Lol. Whatever your fantasies dictate. When you lose the arguement you go for the personal attack. Whatever, dude...
is your defense to getting schooled to claim the person schooling you lost an argument? why are you so afraid to answer a question about the second amendment?
Aren't you Australian what would you know about what Americans want all you get is something filtered through whatever news source you watch probably filtered through your government's sensors too.
But I live here I don't need links to know Americans everyone I know is American. You're reliant on hearsay I have experience.
You really don't know that much about our country. My mother lives in a place that they don't typically build basements for houses as the water table is so high. I think I called you out and you don't really have anything to say so you then go to attack my character it's very typical
Not only felonious, but any kin of shooting. Guns are designed to take life. Sex (of any kind) is lethal only in rare instances when one partner is a carrier of a deadly disease. Sex it designed to give life, not take it. Most people know this.
In the US, we don't require a demonstration of some subjective "need" as a precondition for the exercise of our rights. Other countries may differ - at which point the term "rights" belongs in quotation marks.
There are roughly 630,000 legally owned machine guns in the US, from tiny micro-Uzi machine pistols to electrically-powered 6-barreld rotary minguns. Just one of these has been used in a crime. By a police officer. None of them have been used to shoot up a school. What "issues" do these machine guns create?
Of the 636 mass shootings in the US in 2008, 8 were committed with 'assault weapons' Of the 660 people killed in those mass shootings, 54 were killed with 'assault weapons'. 20,000,000 'assault weapons'; 8 were used to kill 54 people. How does this demonstrate a need to ban 'assault weapons'?
Yes. Let's ask General Washington if he thinks his potential militiamen and frontier families should have free access to AR15s and 30-rd magazines. What do you think he'd say?
THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH: All crime including gun crime soared in the UK after the irrational 1996 Gun Ban was imposed. “In 1997-98, there were just over 4,900 recorded crimes in England and Wales involving the use of guns, other than air weapons. The figure had climbed to 7,362 for the year ending April 2001. Home Office sources have indicated privately that 2001-02 statistics will show an increase along the same lines as previous years. A regional breakdown of the figures show that gun crime is overwhelmingly an inner-city phenomenon. In 2001-02 guns were used to kill 73 people, half of them in London or Manchester.” THE INDEPENDENT, 8,000 a year: serious gun crime ***doubles*** under Labour, By Andy McSmith and Sophie Goodchild, 05 January 2003. (*** mine) http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/crime/story.jsp?story=366560 "Progressives" need to wake up. Gun control laws are a dangerous threat to humanity, they do not represent human progress.
You have been disinformed. Military rifles and ammunition have been designed to more often wound -- not to kill for over a century.
