I would agree, and we haven't inferred it, so we don't have any particular link to it.

Excellent, thank you. We can now investigate whether you have interpreted the argument correctly. I think we have already been given the explanation here:

What I was saying is that the universe must be exactly as an omnipotent omniscient being wants it to be, if any such being exists. If the universe isn't how it wants it to be, then that being isn't omnipotent.
    @Jolly Penguin, source

So indeed, it looks to me like Jolly Penguin isn't blaming God, so much as he is evaluating the theist claim that a God exists and is omnibenevolent, omnipotent and omniscient. Seems to me he isn't arguing God actually carries the blame, but he would carry the blame if he existed (and perhaps as an extension, that people who believe God exists should put the blame on God).

But by all means, we shouldn't just take my word that I have interpreted it correctly. @Jolly Penguin, would you say you actually put blame on God, or is it more accurate to say, as I say, that you were discussing whether he would be to blame in a religious view (or perhaps more to the point, trying to highlight some other assumptions within the religious view)?

Taken as a whole most folks like reality and enjoy it. You sound like u don't like the Reality that God created and u what, think He could have done better?

You understood me fine. What I was doing is exploring the implications of an omnipotent being if one could exist. I see no good reason to believe it does exist, so I was exploring a hypothetical, so of course I couldn't blame anything on it.

If it exists then the universe is as it wants it to be, including everything we humans see as negative, like cancer, starvation, obligate carnivores, etc. That would all be this God's will. That's all I was saying. I think it notable, given that we usually view these things as not good to say the least, but God is declared to be perfectly good.

NIce demonstration of another juvenile grammar interpretation try:
    a) God is proven to exist therefore God is to blame
    b) God is proven not exist therefore God is not to blame

The solution to your dilemma is clearly that a God should not have created humans unless every humans existence would be 'perfect in every way'. according to whatever wacky doodle logic they individually decide fits their idea of perfect. That way all humans could exist and live in pure bliss.

Nothing short of a brilliantly juvenile exploration! :roflol:

And here we thought you recognied neither is proven.

It isn't a dilemma. It is just an observation. And one you haven't acrually addressed.

You are telling us what God should and should not do? I don't think he'd much care. If he's omnipotent then what you want is irrelevant. Stuff he wants in the world, like cancer and parasitic wasps exist despite what you would prefer.

yes to demonstrate and address the absurd stupidity of the hypothesis you posted.

nothing to do with omnipotent, its simply a design that man can clearly change if their wasnt so much money to be had by unethical neoatheists and their bogus cures.
Oh Im sorry, thats called logic, an analysis providing the actual meaning of what you said.
    swensson needed help.
analysing nonsense has no bearing on my personal position.

You seem to enjoy vacillating between distinctions with no difference to no distinctions regardless of difference. Did you know thats SOP of trolls?

Not sure what you mean. Jolly Penguin intended an interpretation, I interpreted it using a straightforward interpretation, and turns out I got the correct meaning. What's juvenile about being correct? It seems you have a way of generating assumptions that aren't actually there in the text you read.

I imagine the vast majority of people who supposedly "blame god" are making some kind of argument similar to Jolly Penguin's, and that the argument you attack is but a straw man. I don't particularly mind you attacking that strawman, but you should be aware that the actual interesting discussions are like two plot twists ahead of you.

What is it I'm supposed to be trying?

Your post claiming that people who do not believe in God blame God is an obvious non-Sequitur fallacy.

You are a good faith reader, just reading what's there and taking it for what it is, without projecting onto it.

Koko is out to "win" something, and needs to interpret everything in particular ways so he can feel he's done so.

    That's the difference.

If you havent already you will soon find out that neoatheists have an automated maximum density switch that goes into overdrive any time you trash their wackydoodle left field over the edge theories.

You will also need to speak effective crayola if you want to have a discussion.

They lack more than just god, we can add grammar to list :roflol:
I begin to ignore more and more of their posts when its clearly trolling.

It's perfectly legit to explore why our universe is as it is, given that there is a God of the definition used by Christianity.

It's part of exploring who this Christian god is. That's not a blame game.

The OP suggests that ATHEISTS are actually blaming stuff on God!!! That's just a profoundly nutty.

I quoted him blaming God and here you are denying that he is blaming God, bald face orwellian blind denial, brilliant argument strategy.

Technically all that you wrote is correct...
but the Christian Bible states rather emphatically that "all judgment is committed to the Son" ... so.....
Messiah Yeshua - Jesus has permitted Stanley Milgram Lucifer Satan to deceive all of us.......
liberals and conservatives alike.... and all of us are terribly incorrect on so many topics that our minds will be boggled when we either have a near death experience and review our lives with Jesus......
or when we actually die and review our lives with Jesus!!!!!

Former Atheist Howard Storm was astonished by the implications of his own Life Review with Jesus and other Elders......... (my guess would be Abraham and perhaps King David who is being raised up at this time)......

What's wrong with any of that? Sounds like it could be fun.
Capitalism, which is always followed by greed and then by great suffering & destruction, is what causes problems. Not a belief or non-belief in a god.

A quick googling suggests nothing like that. So I guess we shouldn't put too much stock in your surprise.
