    The current Republican party is just an outright joke !!!

    They never met a conspiracy theory they didn't like...
    They voted AGAINST the bill to secure the border...
    They refuse to vote on any new Border bills
    They couldnt even muster votes to oust Mayorkas
    They lost the vote on their bill to support Israel (ISREAL....they lost a vote to support ISREAL !!!!)
    MTG blamed dems on Myorkis because "they outsmarted us on the vote, they HID one of their members" because the republicans apparently cant count ? (SERIOUSLY, that is a direct quote)

    Cmon folks, this is just getting farcical. The are blaming dems because republicans cant do basic math ? They couldnt pass a bill to support ISREAL ?

    And they said today that they will not vote on any more border bills. They literally told you that they are not gijg to fix the border, because they think its good for them politically. They have screamed on high for months that we need to secure the border, and they literally voted against that very thing. Biden gave them what they wanted in this bill, and they still voted it down. IF you still votes for these idiots, you need to rethink your ideology.

    They just told you who they are....you cant get around this with any talking points. they just voted to do NOTHING to secure the border, and I guarantee that they will be screaming about "Bidens Border" by 9:00 tomorrow morning. I cant wait until MTG looses her next election. She is just a POS

    They cant even count folks !!!!

    Biden can undo what he intentionally did on day one and instead he does nothing, probably because that would be an admission he screwed up.

    Schumer can take up HR2 and he does nothing.

    Can you explain why the above two idiots won't do anything to secure the border that for 3 years they said was secure and are now finally admitting it's a crisis and it's the GOP's fault?

    How many times do I need to say this but republicans passed a border bill called HR1 and Schumer won't even look at it. Why?

    Also, it's been said a billion times we don't need a bill to secure the border, all that needs to happen is for Biden to undo what he did on day one. By any chance, can you explain who he reversed border policies that were working? I'll bet you can't.

    Other than abandoning the family separation policy, nothing has changed at the border since the end of the Trump regime.

    Ironically, illegals are more likely to be released under Biden than under Trump.

    New Data Show Migrants Were More Likely to Be Released by Trump Than Biden

    Does it hurt to know that?

    And this bill is proof that Democrats are willing to work with Republicans - those capable of compromise at the very least - to improve this country.

    Unfortunately, the GOP is being held hostage by MAGA and Trump, and it's resulting in this kind of mess.

    What did he do on day 1?
    Because the election is coming and people are falling for the BS about illegals again

    You're a funny guy. Speaker Johnson put out a list of dozens of things Biden did to open the border.

    Sorry Republicans Do Not Want a Secure Border

    WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans blocked a bipartisan border security and foreign aid bill on Wednesday, leaving the path for additional U.S. aid for allies Ukraine and Israel unclear.

    The Senate voted 49-50 to shoot down the border bill Wednesday afternoon with Republicans voting en masse to filibuster the agreement they had demanded, arguing that it wouldn't do enough to crack down on an overwhelmed border.

    Following the failed vote on the $118 billion package, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said he would bring up an Israel and Ukraine aid package stripped of border security provisions. But the Senate broke for the night just after 7 p.m. ET unable to secure the 60 votes needed to move ahead with that bill.

    Jesus H, how many times do you guys need to be told that the house passed HR1 back in May and Schumer won't take it up in the senate.

    Stop watching CNN, put the cool aid down and learn the facts.

    Day1

    Biden restored DACA (That the SC was going to restore anyway) - But repubs want to kick kids out of America.....OK...got it

    He recinded Muslim and African bans......

    Civil Imigration pause for 100 days

    Extension of Deferred Enforced Departure for Liberians - paused for 100 days

    He stopped building the border wall (You should thank him for that one, cause republicans were gettign scammed to donate (Steve Bannon anyone?)

    he Re-instated Remain in Mexico (You had to support that, rght)

    He also sent a bill to congress that did a lot of things, foremost it expidented citizenship hearing so we could remove those who weren't going to get them. (More people were removed by this than Trumps shutting down of the immigration system).Breaking the system isnt then answer, but making it work faster IS

    Not surprising BP needs the resources - and if the bill had been restricted to that goal it would have had a far better chances of passage. I've also seen some BPers disapproving the bill because it really does little to solve the problem, which ABCNews likely ignored.

    Which HR1 are you referring to, I only found thins one;

    Shown Here:
    Passed House (03/03/2021)

    For the People Act of 2021

    This bill addresses voter access, election integrity and security, campaign finance, and ethics for the three branches of government.

    Specifically, the bill expands voter registration (e.g., automatic and same-day registration) and voting access (e.g., vote-by-mail and early voting). It also limits removing voters from voter rolls.

    The bill requires states to establish independent redistricting commissions to carry out congressional redistricting.

    Additionally, the bill sets forth provisions related to election security, including sharing intelligence information with state election officials, supporting states in securing their election systems, developing a national strategy to protect U.S. democratic institutions, establishing in the legislative branch the National Commission to Protect United States Democratic Institutions, and other provisions to improve the cybersecurity of election systems.

    Further, the bill addresses campaign finance, including by expanding the prohibition on campaign spending by foreign nationals, requiring additional disclosure of campaign-related fundraising and spending, requiring additional disclaimers regarding certain political advertising, and establishing an alternative campaign funding system for certain federal offices.

    The bill addresses ethics in all three branches of government, including by requiring a code of conduct for Supreme Court Justices, prohibiting Members of the House from serving on the board of a for-profit entity, and establishing additional conflict-of-interest and ethics provisions for federal employees and the White House.

    The bill requires the President, the Vice President, and certain candidates for those offices to disclose 10 years of tax returns.

    You might want to turn off Fox news

    H.R.1 - Lower Energy Costs Act118th Congress (2023-2024) doesn't address border security

    The two parties worked together to find a solution and came up with a bill that is supported by the BP union.

    In 2023, you agreed with their demands, but today, you approve of Trump's efforts to sabotage this bill.

    How is this logical?

    Knock it off with the Trump stuff. You guys do it in every thread and it get old.

    Why do you want a bill that allows 5000 illegals a day entry into this country?

    You don't know what you're talking about.

    Listen carefully to what the President of BP Union has to say.

    But you libs are happy with 5000 illegals a day.

    Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson: "We Are Truly In A Crisis" On Southern Border

    "When I was in office in Kirstjen Nielsen's job, at her desk, I'd get to work around 6:30 in the morning and there'd be my intelligence book sitting on my desk, the PDB, and also the apprehension numbers from the day before," Johnson said. "And I'd look at them every morning, it'd be the first thing I'd look at. And I probably got too close to the problem, and my staff will tell you if it was under 1,000 apprehensions the day before that was a relatively good number, and if it was above 1,000 it was a relatively bad number, and I was gonna be in a bad mood the whole day."

    "On Tuesday, there were 4,000 apprehensions. I know that a thousand overwhelms the system. I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like, so we are truly in a crisis," Johnson explained.

    What a crock of s***. Over 7 million illegals have crossed into the US in Biden first 3 years (4 times that of Trump) and you have the audacity to come in here and claim your data shows more under Trump?

    What Koolaid do leftist drink just to be so uninformed so always.

    If the left could even be honest for a moment in time, instead of all the Trumpism regurgitations, they would know a real border security bill was provided to Democrats last May.

    Its called H.R. 2. The Secure the Border Act of 2023. Introduced by Republicans on May 2, 2023.
    Still sitting on Chuck Schumer's desk who refuses to put it up for vote.

    Would you like to know whats in it that Democrats refuse to vote for?

    It would Reestablish border policy, including restarting construction on the border wall and requiring the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to create a plan to meet benchmarks for 200 miles of construction each year;

    Reinforce the unrealistically narrow definition of “operational control” as “the prevention of all unlawful entries into the United States, including entries by terrorists, other unlawful aliens, instruments of terrorism, narcotics, and other contraband”(emphasis added);

    Require the DHS secretary to incorporate physical barriers, infrastructures, and technologies to “achieve situational awareness and operational control” at the U.S.-Mexico border;

    Increase the number of full-time Border Patrol agents to at least 22,000;

    Prohibit the use of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations resources to transport noncitizens who will not be detained into the country’s interior;

    Build on Operation Stonegarden to appropriate $110 million per fiscal year — from 2024 through 2028 — for grants to law enforcement agencies working with U.S. immigration authorities near the U.S.’s land and maritime borders;

    Require the U.S. Border Patrol to pull together a strategic plan based in part on information provided by “border community stakeholders” such as hospitals, farmers, ranchers, property owners, victims of crimes done by undocumented immigrants, and others “negatively impacted by illegal immigration;”

    Pull funding for processing noncitizens who have entered the U.S. illegally between ports of entry;

    Bar funds from being disbursed to NGOs that “facilitate or encourage unlawful activity,” defined to include unlawful entry, or that facilitate transportation, lodging, or immigration legal services for people who are inadmissible;

    Restrict the use of documents provided by DHS, such as notices to appear and work authorizations, as valid IDs at airport security checkpoints;

    Limit the CBP One phone application and other similar platforms to only be used for the inspection of perishable cargo, barring its use for the scheduling of immigration interviews for people at ports of entry;

    Mandate government reporting on migration-related economic and security ramifications to states and municipalities along the U.S.-Mexico border, including to law enforcement, school districts, healthcare providers, and farmers and ranchers; and

    Defund an alternatives to detention case management program and CBP’s shelter services program.

    Why are we catching thousands if we have an open border? So confusing!
