Ohhhh my gawd..... I've been gone more than here, so missed a lot of this about the pilot......he had all this psychosis stuff going on and he was back in the cockpit. Unbelievable.......
I am a libertarian. The GOP as it sits is the antithesis of my desires for my country. We do what we do because of who we are, not because of what others do. Own it.
So what experience have you had w/U.S. military for you to sit in judgment that any training would make a serviceman suicidal? Have you ever had any personal contact w/U.S. servicemen? My 2 brothers were career Air Force men - one a pilot and the other a flight instructor..... dedicated airmen and loved their jobs, their life in the AF and nothing suicidal about them or the other airmen and I met a lot of them when i was on base w/the pilot brother. Then there was a Marine Corps base I was on w/my hunny who was a Marine. I saw a lot of men very content in the choices they made.... You don't know what the hell you're talking about. You spit out ugly words about something you know nothing about...... it's words like yours that speaks volumes about your own dissatisfaction about the choices you made.....
You offered him very good advice. I hope he's smart enuf to take it. I've seen it b/f that if someone can't make the grade, they condemn it.
When America stops sitting in judgement on the rest of the world then I will stop sitting in judgement on America. So you will just have to live with it and suck it up. Of course, there is always the ignore option. Most have used it on me and you also have the option.
Sounds like Fed Ex 705 Most have probably not heard of this one because it was a cargo plane. Calloway was scheduled to meet a Fed Ex board to examine how he'd lied about flying time. He wanted to kill the crew and then crash into the Fed Ex facility in Memphis.
Had he shouted Allah Akbar like the 9/11 pilots, I'm sure they would have. Would seem the incident has no connections to his religion.
There's no reason to. It wasn't a factor. being a European, maybe he didn't have one. We tend not to categorise people in such terms.
found this, looks like he may have been Christian (unless he converted to another religion recently) http://www.winknews.com/2015/03/29/...ngs-confirm-co-pilot-locked-(*)(*)(*)(*)-pit/ the preacher had this to say "“The co-pilot, the family belong to our community, and we stand by this, and we embrace them and will not hide this, and want to support the family in particular,” Dietrich said." "Dietrich, the pastor, said he knew Lubitz as a teenager, when he attended religious education 13 years ago, and his mother, who worked as a part-time organist in the community." .
many think this was a Muslim religious fanatic, so I think it needs to be addressed, from that last link I found, it appears not to be the case here if it was a Muslim religious fanatic, we could see if he had connections to other religious fanatics, maybe stop them from doing the same sort of things, so in that respect it is important
It's not the troops that are sitting in judgment of anything.... just like all other military on this planet.... you made an ugly comment about our servicemen being 'suicidal' from training. Have you ever met any US servicemen who were 'suicidal' from their training? Of course you haven't. US servicemen going thru SERE training are waterboarded, which is supposed to be 'torture'.... the pansy-ass terrorists can't handle it, but our servicemen can and move on w/o being 'suicidal'. Strange how that works........ I've never put anyone on ignore. I just read their psychobabble and laugh....or groan. Usually ignore them, but then sometimes not.......
If one has to be told what "War For Oil" means in the 21st century, given our (US/British) history and penchant for involving ourselves in the political affairs of oil soaked nations since before Iran 1953, then it is probably fair to conclude that one has a lot of homework to consider as being both required and necessary to enable any real discussion on the merits of such things. We've killed for access to and control of oil and we did it under the color of a War On Terror. Those facts are extant. What The People do with those facts is up to them.
No. Jesse, has no time in the left or right seat of a Boeing 757. We've been able to fly commercial airframes remotely and fairly accurately, long before 2001.
More of the same below: I find it more than interesting that this entire matter has been publicly handled (seemingly) by a "Prosecutor," instead of Crash Site Investigators, which I know Germany uses for its commercial aviation accidents/incidents involving air/air or air/ground collisions. They are called the BFU (English: German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation) and they are tasked with the responsibility of investigating and reporting to the public about causation. Yet, nearly everything that drives the narrative about this story that we hear, seems to always come straight out of the "Prosecutor's" mouth - almost to the point of exclusivity. Every driver of thought about the FO has been fashioned and formed by the "Prosecutor" and no one else. Now, the statements from the "Prosecutor" are that the FO received psych treatment some time ago, but the "Prosecutor" is not capable of presenting any factual evidence that points to anything directly. Only innuendo and supposition have been made with zero supporting evidence and or facts about the substance of the treatment allegedly received by the FO. Typically, for matters related to public security and/or safety, the issue of personal health records being "private" and "off limits," normally goes out the window with the baby and the bath water. These kinds of things are normally covered by the media, but sourced by the Doctors and/or Treating Physicians of the 'patient' who was involved as the primary protagonist. In this case, the "Prosecutor" is playing the role of Public Relations Officer, Flight Surgeon, Mental Health Physician and Prosecutor - all before the facts have been fully developed or even remotely understood in general terms. I've learned the hard way with 911, to always ask the question immediately following events of this nature: Who is driving the narrative of the story and does that narrative fit the known facts? When I asked that question in this case, I come up with No and heck No. I'm not saying the FO was not responsible. I'm saying that right now, I have no possible way of determining that based on the known facts and the drivers of the narrative seem to be in a particular hurry to establish a set of facts that cannot yet be proven. Why the rush? What's the hurry? We have statements that have been made about the physical conditions on-board the aircraft after the Captain allegedly went to the lav, that cannot possibly be true. Why are those inconsistent statements not being evaluated as such by the Media, and why is no one asking more questions about those inconsistent statements of fact (as I outlined them in my first post in this thread)? So, what do we have thus far: A) Statements made by the Media and the Prosecutor about the physical conditions on-board the aircraft that no Airbus A320 Captain or FO would ever recognize as being true (see my original post in this thread for details). B) A public narrative being driven single handily by a lone "Prosecutor," to the point of damn near trying the FO in public, before any facts to support a prosecution can be nailed down. C) A distracted Public, that does not know what questions to ask or why they are important. And, a distracted Public that does not understand that it has been given information about the physical conditions on-board the aircraft just before impact, which are completely false and/or completely misleading. A2 + B2 = C2 Where have I seen this formula before. When you find a formula that works, why change it. Just keep repeating the same crap over and over again, because it works so well. The bigger the lie, the harder it becomes for people to believe it is a lie and the easier it is to distract them with narratives that don't add up and that themselves are predicated upon more lies, distortion and misinformation. Modern aircraft are some of the safest methods of transportation ever devised - period. The empirical evidence proves that statement to be true. Commercial Airframes themselves are among the safest in all of aviation. Modern aircraft designs contain positive dynamic stability, which in layman's terms simply means that the aircraft, even with temporal inadvertent or deliberate flight control inputs, will have a natural tendency to seek the horizon - meaning - return to stability in flight. So, there is no doubt in my mind that this commercial airframe was forced into the mountains. The only question I have is, by whose hand and by what method of arrangement.
Germany’s Bild News is reporting a cell phone “SIM card” (Micro SD, Memory card) has been recovered from the wreckage of Germanwings flight 9525. According to reporting by the German media outlet there is video on the SIM card showing what was taking place in the cabin prior to, and up to the moment of, the crash. Bild is reporting the video appears to be taken from the rear of the passenger compartment, possibly by a cell phone, and shows absolute panic as the passengers on board were aware of the crisis. Passengers are reported to be crying out to God in numerous languages and shouting throughout the video. There are three distinct sounds which accompany the video – appearing to be attempts by the pilot and others to break down the cockpit door. Massive panic and confusion is visible amid the passengers, then the sound of metal scraping – then the video stops. http://theconservativetreehouse.com...ckage-in-passenger-video-sim-card/#more-98779
Always was curious why there have been no reports from families on cell phone calls and texts from those poor victims.
