BREAKING: House passes a 45-day stopgap measure to keep government open, sends bill to Senate

Democrats in power want the nation to destroy itself. Traitors.

 

I think they were hoping the Senate would pass a continuing resolution that included Ukraine funding.

But, they clearly haven't been paying attention to the Senate. Under Schumer's leadership they're basically useless. He's not willing to let his members vote for controversial bills before the House. This is the same game he played last time demanding the Republican controlled House pass a "clean" CR when he didn't have the votes for it himself in the Senate. And he was unwilling to negotiate and find a bipartisan bill. He was happy to let a shutdown occur then as he was now because he knew he would blame Republicans and the media would carry water for him.

 

Is that why more democrats than Republicans voted yes to keep the government open?
