The judge didn't. The judge let the family dictate it, based on the advice of a doctor.

Why do you keep misrepresenting the facts?

The fact that there is an authorized prescription out there from a licensed doctor really doesn't change the equation of the larger question here...

Sure it does.. It explains the judges ruling.

He is repeating his nonsense to paint if as if an activist judge went off on his own and decided this....

Its easy to see from his OP
"how do you all feel about a judge telling a doctor how to treat a patient"

    The irony of this.....

You are the one misrepresenting the facts. The judge is making the hospital/medial staff do a procedure they do not wish to do. This is not the sort of thing that you people on the right are supposed to support.

Yes, he's doing so because that is what the family, with the advice of their doctor, WANT to do. Thanks. It's not rocket science.

Because that doctor is not the one that is going to be doing the administering of the drug. The court is forcing other medical professional to do it.

The doctor wouldn't anyway. A nurse will administer it, lol. What a flimsy excuse.

So, you think that any family should be able to dictate any treatment in the hospital so long as they have a doctor that will go along with it? Do you think any hospital could operate that way?

So, if there is a patient that is pregnant and she gets a doctor to say she needs an abortion, you are fine with the hospital being forced to do an abortion?

that does not change that the judge is forcing medial professionals to do a treatment they do not want to do.

Sure when you leave out important details.. It seems you are more focused on blindly pushing an agenda then discussing the topic.. Bye

This is not the only case of this, either. After slipping into a coma after failed treatments at another hospital, the court ordered the hospital to allow a prescribing doctor to have treatment privileges to administer Ivermectin to the patient. The patient survived and is home. Why do you want this man to die so badly?

COVID Patient in Coma Gets Ivermectin After Court Order
    https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20210506/covid-patient-in-coma-gets-ivermectin-after-court-order
May 6, 2021 -- A 68-year-old woman with COVID-19, who has been in intensive care in an Illinois hospital for a month, started receiving the controversial drug ivermectin (Stromectol) this week after her family sued the hospital to have someone administer it, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

Nurije Fype's daughter, Desareta, filed suit against Elmhurst Hospital, part of

    Edward-Elmhurst Health
, asking that her mother receive the treatment, which is approved as an anti-
    parasite
drug but not approved for the treatment of COVID-19. Desareta Fype has been granted temporary guardianship of her mother.

Update: Nurije Fype is out of the hospital and has returned home
    https://kevinbae.com/2021/update-nurije-fype-is-out-of-the-hospital-and-has-returned-home/
Nurije Fype’s long fight against COVID-19 has taken another step in a good direction. Her daughter tweeted on July 2nd that her mom returned home on Monday, June 28th, and is now focused on physical therapy. What a journey it has been for this family and their fight to control the treatment for their mother. What would the outcome have been if the courts did not decide in the family’s favor?

Congratulations are in order and great hopes for continued recovery.

The detail changes nothing. but good, please run away and hide back under your rock.

But yes. my agenda is that a medial professional should not be forced to do a treatment they do not wish to do

    you clearly disagree.

Abortion is a bad example since I don't think killing a baby should be ordered by anyone.

You have to take the circumstances into account. Lots of valid, certified, successful doctors try different treatments. Here, some doctors are trying a certain asthma medication with some success to alleviate breathing difficulties for COVID patients.

This got all politicized by the bureaucrats in the CDC who had a hard-on for making Trump look bad. They're not even allowing the science, lol, much less trusting it.

And this is what the judge in this case should have done...."allow a prescribing doctor to have treatment privileges". That way nobody is being forced to do a treatment they do not wish to do

Then the hospital can grant the doctor treatment privileges at that hospital and he can administer the medication, if that's your silly little beef. Just like they did in the case I cited above.

So, you only agree with the judge dictating medical procedures for things you agree with. Thanks for proving my point for me

Great, so your entire beef with this is petty and silly. How do you know that the nurse that could administer the medicine doesn't secretly want to try it to save her patient?

But that is not what the judge ordered, it is what he should have done. Then nobody is being forced to do what they do not agree with

I am glad to know that you think forcing medical professionals to do something they do not wish to do is "petty and silly".

that says a great deal about you

Thanks for confirming your beef with this is petty and pointless. There are other solutions, as I've pointed out. Apparently the hospital chose not to take that route, but the judge probably would have been fine with that, too.
