Yeah, I like patients rights and I hate hospital bureaucrats, because they act just like leftists. I know many doctors who hate the way hospitals are run today. It's all about the money and less to do with health.

Further, if the Ivermectin works and the man survives he should sue the hospital for not trying it earlier. He will likely have long-term effects from having COVID that possibly could have been avoided.

yes...patient rights...they should get anything and everything they ask for...especially those one that always ask for a specific kind of narcotic.

On a weekly basis my wife has family members that are also "in the medical field" tell her how she should be treating her patients. Should she listen to them all and just ignore the orders from the doctors that are actually treating the patients.

Or how about the patient that just had open heart surgery and his family brings him a big mac and fries, I guess she should just allow that also.

Or how about the non-compliant diabetic that is about to loose a foot who orders himself a Dominos pizza, she should just let him have that in the name of patient rights.

Well, we are talking about Butler County, Oh. I was born in Butler County. Middletown Ohio is a hotbed of extremism, including nazism, so this does not surprise me in the least. Some of the least well informed people in all of the USA live in Butler County. So, the article is a little deceptive in mentioning Cincy, for Cincy is not in Butler County.

Now you're ignoring the fact that the doctor prescribed it. You're like watching a 3-card monte dealer the way you choose to present or ignore facts in any given response, lol.

    Strawman. Irrelevant question. See above.

    Also irrelevant and a strawman.

    Also irrelevant, and a strawman.

The OP was wrong and I think he knows that now.

But I REALLY don't think anybody should want any judge telling a hospital to do things against their established medical protocols... regardless of where it comes from.

I'm all for giving this guy Ivermectin (or freaking leeches if he wants), but the doctor needs to do this outside of the hospital...

No flip flop. A patient should have the right to be prescribed a treatment by a qualified doctor of their choosing.

Kinda risky to move an ICU patient on a ventilator just because the hospital administration has bought the CDC propaganda.

And they do, just not at every hospital. A hospital could not function that way

I have figured out they don't remotely understand the potential consequences of decisions like this...

The SECOND a judge orders a hospital to honor a doctors order to vaccinate a patient, the story will change....

or how about when a judge orders a hospital to honor a doctors order to abort a baby. I think then patient rights will no longer be a concern.

They'll just claim the "patient" is the fetus.... that's their play in abortion situations...

Also, I'm not sure that will ever happen, but I get your point... I think ordering a vaccination is much more likely...

I think there is a distinct difference between a judge ordering a mother to get vaccinated versus a wife winning a court battle to have the hospital treat her husband with a proven treatment, as he's been on a ventilator since July.

I'd hope you'd see the difference the two cases.

I've posted this several times. Meta data showing 63 active clinical trials as Ivermectin use as a preventive and treatment of covid. 44 of these trials are peer reviewed with substantially good outcomes. You can click and go directly to each trial to see the protocols and their data results.

Clearly you haven't had to make the call for your spouse in those critical last days have you.. If so this post would be much different!

Except that's not what happened, is it? I disagreed with that judges decision as well, FTR....

The OP mischaracterizing this decision doesn't allow you to do the same...

There are TONS of differences between those 2 cases...

I think the judge is out of line in both cases

I have not, and I am sure that is hard. But we should not allow legal decisions to be made based upon emotion.

It is just crazy that it is the right fighting for the right of a judge to dictate to a hospital what procedures and medicine they must use. it must be backwards day.

There it is! Emotion or death, if there was the slightest chance an experimental drug might have a beneficial effect and you loved someone deep enough.. Well like I say, you clearly haven't been in that position..

Enjoy defending a concept you haven't experienced, it's really meaningless conjecture on your end :(

I am not defending anything, you all are the ones that are defending the power of a judge to dictate to a hospital what procedures and medicine they must use.
