From his perspective that doesn't matter; and it'll never get old as long as it succeeds in irritating people.

What continues to astonish me is that you accuse me of what it is you are doing without so much as a thought. And you can't disagree with me on FACTS. FACTS are not a matter of opinion. You can't disagree with FACTS with any credibility. Some days I think I could come here and post "white is white and black is black" and someone like you will want to argue about it, and yes, I do know something about color science but when I say that I am not talking about color science. But you'd want to argue about something I never said and never meant. They call that a "straw man fallacy". People who do that are usually insecure people who feel like they have to demonstrate their superiority over someone they don't even know in an argument they don't understand.

And yes, I am a Priest, and people who have never met a real Priest often accuse me of being an impostor because they don't know any real Priests, they have some imaginary being they have set in their mind as a Priest who doesn't exist. For all I know, their God is so far removed from who God really is He doesn't exist, either. Such people have created both me and God in their own image.

But God is who he is and I am who I say I am, and I am a real person just like you. Your self righteousness does you no credit.

Maybe I am too old. When I was growing up I don't remember people being this rude and irritating on purpose. Not that they couldn't be rude and irritating, but you could usually explain to them that they were being rude and irritating. Today, people think they have a right to be rude and irritating.

No such thing as internet anonymity in those days.

Happily, if their intended victims refuse to be irritated, trolls will just end up trolling themselves.

I used to think that if I just explained it the right way it would eventually stick. Ain't gonna happen.

Perhaps because your "Right Way" is incompatible with logic and rational thought?

What is it about you guys that makes you think you own "logic", "reason", and "science"? I have a friend who has undergraduate and Masters degrees in Philosophy (personally, I think apologetics is a waste of time because you need people who are open to new ideas and they are hard to come by) who could "logic" and "reason" you into next Tuesday, and you wouldn't even know it.

Yes. It was a response to your personal attack on a member of this forum by pointing out you do exactly the same thing in a demonstration of "Do as I say, not as I do".

Possibly, but I'm certainly not a truly evil person claiming to be a priest while fomenting hate and intolerance in the name of God on an Internet forum.

We have religious differences, Max, you think you're God and I don't.

Another in a long, long list of false statements from you. If you were really Catholic, and I doubt you are much less an active priest, I expect your priest spends a lot of time hearing your confessions....or do you really believe these things and spend most of your time talking to a counselor?

If you're dealing with someone who is merely obstinate, you can probably leave them with something to think about, at least...

...but as for the likes of Mr. Dropyerpantsky over there, about the best you can do is use them as foils for the benefit of the peanut gallery.

What's false about it? You don't really think you're God? Then how did you come up with this?

"...evil person claiming to be a priest while fomenting hate and intolerance in the name of God on an Internet forum..."

What? Do you think you're omniscient or something? Do you think you know who I am? What's my name, then? Do you think you can judge me? Trust me, only God judges me and He's going to judge you, too, if you don't stop taking His name in vain.

Stop playing God and deal with the subject at hand.

IF by chance you ARE a Catholic priest I suggest you either resign or accept the fact you subject your calling to extreme negativity on this forum simply by existing as such.

Of course they can coexist if they make the effort. After all, Christians for example dismiss all of the 23 major religions except for theirs. An atheist just dismisses one more. They aren’t that far apart.

They're world apart. That's like saying that all religions are the same (except for the fact that they all say different things). Other than that, they are identical, right?

But if that's the way you want it I am willing to concede that atheism is just another religion.
