He/she does not acknowledge Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of the living God. She doesn't see Isaac as the promised seed from Abraham as opposed to Ishamael, as stated in the Bible. Didn't you read this?

    He/she is no Christian.

Just because you have spent time with Muslims means absolutely nothing. There are plenty of 'good' people who go to Church that are not Christians. ANd they will burn in hell for eternity. What makes you think just because you know some good Muslims that all is acceptable then by God concerning them. Rethink your position.

The god of Islam is not the God and Father of Jesus Christ. Your compromising your faith. You can't replace Jesus with Muhammed. That is blasphemous. Do you believe Jesus was just a man? Do you not believe Jesus was the Son of God. God in the flesh?

Just because millions of Muslims believe in their religion doesn't mean its right. It only means millions of Muslims will be burning in the eternal lake of fire.

Its very different than comparing to a Mormon or a Catholic differing on something in the Bible. First of all, Islam doesn't believe the Bible we have today is the Word of God. They don't believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and paid for the sin of the World. They don't believe that the only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ. Shoud I ask? Do you?

As a Christian I don't have to worry about trying to please people through compromising my faith or belief. I simply tell them about Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is able to do with that what He wants to. If someone is involved in a false belief, then I will tell them. And I will tell them the only way is Jesus Christ. Just like I tell all Muslims. If they want to really get out of their 'days of ignorance' then they need to throw that koran away, get a Bible, and come to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Of course Islam will not remove any truth from Christiaity. That doesn't mean that it does not pervert the truths of Christianity. And, that doesn't mean a Christian should not combat these lies when confronted with them.

No, Christianity doesn't defend itself. People are involved. Knowledge of the Scriptures are involved. It doesn't just happen.

Within the various denominations you have those who are both Christian and not Christian. It is based on ones view of Jesus Christ. Did you come to Jesus Christ as the Son of the living God and Saviour of the World?

At present both Catholic and Protestants have much false doctrine that has crept in the Church. The only way to recognize the false doctrine is to know the truth as given in the Bible. Thus, no matter which denomination it is, you always have the Bible as a plumb line to hold their beliefs to, to insure they are right.

Margot admitted to me in a past discussion that he/she will lie if it is expedient. This goes well with Islam and its teaching of lying when its expedient. I have seen nothing from Margot but false teaching concerning Christiainity and instead a constant defense of Islam.

You ask if that was what Jesus did? Well Jesus was speaking to those of the true faith, the Jews, and they had become apostate. He constantly was telling them of their error and hypocrisy. Jesus presented Himself as the One and only one in whom salvatiion is.

Im not really concerned what an atheist thinks of me.

The Abrahamic God is indeed the same, for Jew, Christian, and Muslim.

There are things in the NT about sexual sins. It doesn't say homosexuals should be put to death, but it does say that all sinners "deserve death."

    Rom.1
[24]Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
[25] because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen.
    [26]
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
[27] and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.

    ....
[32] Though they know God's decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.
    Rom.2
[1]Therefore you have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.

People who like to dwell on Romans 1 forget what the first verse of Romans 2 says...

Eh...but Ruth "converted" so to speak...the end of the Book of Ruth is important to the question of lineage.

God is the same and is the only One. But Islam does not worship God. Their koran is not from God. Muhammed is not a prophet from God, other than a 'false' prophet.

I don't see how Romans 2:1 changes anything I said. I don't mind being prejudiced against any who are against God and the Bible.

Romans 2:1 is not speaking to 'Judging' in general. It is speaking to the previous display given in Romans 1, about how the wrath of God is revealed against those who hold or suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Rom.1:18

Rom. 1:19-20 is saying that those who suppress the truth are those who deny the very creation of God, as being from God. And that they as made in Gods image have the ability to know this creation is from God, and 'they are without excuse'. And 2:1 begins with "Therefore thou art inexcusable, o man,".

In Rom.1:24-32 Paul gives the digression of those who suppress the truth of God, and reveals the judgement of God agaisnt them. Or as he said in 1:18, the wrath of God revealed from heaven.

In Rom.2:1, Paul is addressing another group of people who are not believers, those who agree with what has been said in Rom. 1, but who do not see it as true of themselves. They see themselves as 'good'. They didn't go down the degrading road of debauchery as described in Rom. 1.

But as unbelievers, whether Jew with the law or Gentile without the law, they are just as guilty, just as without excuse because though they appear moral, they do the same things, either in deed secretly or in mind. Rom.2:2-3. And God's judgement will find them out. Rom.2:11-12

So, you see how Romans 2:1 does not mean a Christian is not to judge. The Christian does judge. We are required to judge in the Church. 1Cor.5:12 and 6:2.

I as a Christian agree with everything written in the Bible. With Romans 1. I recognize myself a sinner and guilty and that the only hope is Gods provision in Jesus Christ. I do not suppress the truth as Romans 1 and 2 are describing.

Perhaps you should meditate on this parable of Jesus'

    Luke.18

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others:
[10] "Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
[11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, `God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
[12] I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I get.'
[13] But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, `God, be merciful to me a sinner!'
[14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Everyone is on a path and will meet God. Some will be exalted, and others will get exactly what they choose and cast away. Some choose to exalt themselves in this life and are just as unfortunate as those who reject the Truth outright. Part of the truth is to love one another and bless them that persecute you. You claim to be a Bible believer, but you cherry pick the hardness of the Truth and live by that. There is Mercy in God's Truth--Justice and Mercy. Both are for God to mete out, not for you to do so. Humble yourself to the mercy of God before it is too late and with "the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get"(Matthew 7:2).

Its unChristian to slander the religion of another people based on ignorance and fear.

You and I do not know how God works.. Where is YOUR faith?

If you were a leader of the French Resistance and you needed your resistance fighters to have faith in you.. What if they saw you arresting a Jew? How would you know that he didn't arrest the Jew to smuggle him out of France to safety?

Reading through the post, I've come to a conclusion on Quantrill.

He is simply a Christian fundementalist, with a closed mind, blind eyes, deaf ears, but a big mouth.

I'm not a Christian, but I don't see what give YOU the right to claim my religion is false. Look, you know zero about Islam. So, what you say about Allah SWT and Mohammed PBUH means zero to me. But I just don't get where you come from claiming the worlds largest religion is false?

Even worse than this claim, you actually think so highly of yourself you even tell other Christians they aren't Christians.... You actually are telling people if they love God or not. Where do you get the right to tell people whether or not they love God, whether or not they are Christian, Muslim, or Jew.

You're ignorance on other faiths is amusing, kind of embarassing, and not at all offensive.

There is a saying, Allahu wahdahu yuhasibni or Only God can judge me. This is universal I believe, for all faiths. You my confused friend are not God.

Anyway, you successful hijacked a thread on religion and evolution to talk about the nonsense you believe. And thank you, I'm somewhat (unintentionally) responsible by bringing up a quote from the Quran about the actual topic.

I'm not a Christian, but what you have said in this thread and others doesn't sound very Christian-like. It sounds like the Taliban and Al Qaida. The only difference is they unfortunately have power, you on the other hand not so much.

    Salam

Yes, a good parable. Note they are both going to the temple, not a mosque. They are both going to worship the true God. Not a false god. One is trusting in his own righteousness, much like the one in Rom.2:1. The other one knows he has nothing but being a sinner to offer God and is trusting only in Gods righteousness. It is not a picture of two different people of two different faiths.

I do not cherry pick the Scriptures to make them say something they don't. I use the Scriptures for the matter and subject at hand. And when your talking about a false god, such as allah, and his followers, the Muslims, then it is the hardness of the truth they need. Because they do not want to reject allah, and muhammed. And they must, to be able to turn to Christ and be born-again.

I am quite willing to stand before God in His judgement of all that I have said, knowing it is based upon His Word.

Variation in species: yes. Abaptability: yes. That these lead to new species through the process of evolution: No. Evolution is an uproven science that is but a denomination of the Fundamentalist religion of Atheistity.

Its not slander if its the truth. And its the truth. Don't you get tierd of accusing those who know the truth of 'ignorance and fear'? It's the truth.

'You' don't know how God works. You hope I don't know how God works. But I do, because I beleive the Bible, His Word.

Im not wanting anyone to have faith in me. Have faith only in Christ the Son of the living God.

What gives me the right is the Bible, Gods Word, to declare Islam a false religion. Its not hard at all.

A person can tell me all sorts of things about how they love God, but if they do not recognize Jesus Christ as the only Begotten Son of God and Saviour of the World, then I can say with all authority of God behind me, that they are not Christian.

If you wern't offended you wouldn't keep bringing it up. And, Im not embarrassed at all. I know what Islam is.

Well, your wrong again, your sayings of Islam have no meaning to me.

Sorry, I have not hijacked any thread. I was speaking of evolution and simply answered questions that came to me. And then provided some input of course.

No, not an extremist Christian. Just a Christian. I appear extreme because the Church has moved so very far from the truth.

If you did not only believe the bible but also knew it, you'd know that you don't know how God works:

    Isaiah 55:8-9:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways",
    declares the LORD.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Sure you can. Perhaps god created the first cell in a way that would allow evolution.

I don't believe in god, for different reasons, but I see no contradiction between a belief in god and an acceptance of evolution.
