We do expect legal immigrants to undertake the effort to learn English and assimilate into our great melting pot that is American culture. We have no objections to their speaking their native language until they’ve mastered English. We have no problem with immigrants teaching their native language to their kids as a second language making them bilingual and speaking it in the home or at family gatherings.

Here's what I have come to expect from them. Rules for thee, but not for me. If some would only hold everyone, including one of theirs, to the same standard.

 

I'm fine with stopping employers from hiring illegals, I think I've already said that. But who is this path of citizenship for if not for illegals? I mean we already have a path to citizenship for legal immigrants, so if you want a path for illegal immigrants, how is that not open borders? Anyone can come here illegally and get on that "path to citizenship" right?

Path to citizenship is for undocumented, doing the right things while here working for the illegal employers. Like dreamers should have. Either that or keep them in the shadows where people like Diaper Don can allow the undocumented to be abused
