I don't think anyone is raving against choice. People rave against being manipulated and having their choices limited.

If choices were limited, it would be a problem indeed, but as of now everyone has a choice, - unless you want to buy a Chinese EV.

The playing field is sharply tilted to favor EV’s.

Opens the doors to distress that will make the asbestos debacle in Australia look tame. (Wittenoom is still the biggest industrial pollution site in the southern hemisphere)

This was a ruling I agree with in principle but know is not going to end well at all.

No it will not end well because although companies can be sued after the fact - they are very very good at dodging payouts.

And so about a third of EV owners won't.

Companies must be held accountable for any pollution

    They are.

What does that have to do with a non-pollutant like CO2?

Well then I guess it no longer matters that the Federal EV mandates have fallen.

That's the way it should be in a free market.

    May the best technology win.

“EV Mandates” are a myth created by the fossil fuel propaganda machine.

That’s your outlook, not based on fact. They will do whatever they want to do, as they live in a free country.

Electric mowers, weed eaters, Jigsaw, radial saw, drills are great and works very well running off batteries which I did for years on the job as most of my work was in the field often far away from electric sockets but for cars Noooo it isn't a stable viable technology Hybrid cars is far better and proven for use in all but the heavy loads yet that isn't being accepted by EV only supporters who simply can't understand why their heavily subsidized and Tax rebate EV cars have failing sale reports these days and with recent revelations that about 33% who bought one now wish they didn't do that, buyer's remorse is on the rise as the many long known flaws of the EV finally catching up with them.

Well then there's no reason for you to care. Just sit back and watch as they fall.

Sure. And then we can hold individuals accountable for their pollution.
    Careful what you wish for.

Here’s a little fun fact that will amaze you, and the world will take notice. In 2020, China said the following —-

https://www.spglobal.com/marketinte...na Society of Automotive Engineers on Oct. 27.

    2020
China aims for EVs to account for 50% of all car sales by 2035

And last month. Wow! Eleven years early!

    April 2024
China’s EV sales now over 50%
