Chris Cuomo says “not all Trump supporters are racist, but all racist are Trump supporters

I like to watch a variety of talking heads to get a cross section of opinions. I watch Chris Cuomo from time to time and have heard him say this at least twice. So, what are the black people that sucker punch white people or push them on the train tracks? Are they Trump supporters? Are they not racist. I know he is a big lib, and obviously comes from a long line of democrats, but at times he seems to try and be somewhat objective. That statement is an insult to all those, which I would think is pretty much everyone who know racism can go both ways. What’s he thinking? Is he even thinking?

At times I watch Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson etc, especially if they have a guest of interest

Sometimes - they are entertaining or interesting, but I take anything they say with a grain of salt

However, if I saw white supremacist groups were supporting a candidate that I support, I would quickly re-evaluate my view as that is not a side that I would want to be on

The largest organized racist organization in the U.S. is BLM. I'm pretty sure they aren't Trump supporters.

 

You have to remember, in this day and age the only ones that can be racist are those with power. And apparently whites in this country have all the power. Therefore only whites can be racist. Those blacks that you mentioned are "bigoted", but not "racist".

You seem to be confusing racist with racial. Black Lives Matter is about raising a racial group up to equality. The racists, who Cuomo claims are all affiliated with the Republicans, want the oppisite.

By being racist against other races. When someone claims that "all lives matter" or "blue lives matter", BLM protests. That is racist by its very definition.

Bringing to light that the police tend to harm and kill Black people at an alarming rate is not a racist act. Asking to be treated with equality and dignity is not being a racist. Perhaps they should have called it Blacks Lives Also Matter.

Blacks are about seven times as likely to murder blacks and whites are to murder whites.

In a recent study, it was found that around two thirds of blacks would like the present level of law enforcement or more.

Apparently black lives matter only if killed by the police.

if the police were punished, same as any other criminal when caught, would restore trust

 

In every one of those cases, the police were investigated. Some were charged and some were found justified.

 

If you are in BLM and what you do in a day is try and promote equality, most people would be cool with that.

If you are in BLM and part of what you do in a day is attack white people you are a racist.

There are extremists and racists on both sides, and both sides should be called out on it.

Often that’s all they should get. The vast majority of the time if you stop fighting and resisting the police you will be fine. Black,white, whatever, I don’t know why that is such a hard concept for some to grasp?

 

I think Cuomo; left out the word WHITE before racists in his statement. If he had said all WHITE RACISTS are Trump supporters he would have been pretty much correct.

 

Often lots of things happen. Without specifics, it does not mean much.
