You still have not answered my question - is Marc Morano's publishing of scientists Emails and encouraging people to post hate mail more or less worrisome than some journalist sounding off in general?

Morano is not an environmentalist - he is one of the most prolific denialists on the planet

    ((((((((((((((((((SIgh)))))))))))))))))))))

Do you EVER read my posts?

I have been comparing your OP where a journalist was flapping off his mouth about denialists to Marc Morano's very real campaign where on his website, called "climate depot" he names climate scientists, openly displays their email addresses and then encourages people to "contact the scientist and tell them how they feel"

This has led to death threats agains the scientists and their families

So between these two actions - which on is the more reprehensible

So you do not want to address the Op instead go off topic to avoid the truth of the OP

I am COMPARING AND CONTRASTING the behaviour of the OP with that of Marc Morano and asking which you think is the more disreputable.

Bear in mind that climate scientists have been receiving harassment, thinly veiled threats and even death threats since about 1995.

Recently with the cheering on of Morano and Limburg it has become worse

You are going off topic to avoid the issue in the OP

No, you are the one avoiding the answers - which is worse (and note I am not defending the journalist - what he has done is reprehensible)

You cannot condemn one without acknowledging the other is occurring and has been happening since 1995. In fact the scientists have been putting up, quietly, with a LOT of this sort of harassment and far far far worse.

    http://theconversation.edu.au/climate-scientists-the-target-in-culture-war-1692

Now tell me - if you are so shocked by what this journalist has done - why are you not equally condemning of the Glen Becks and Bill O'rielly's of this world?

The topic is environmentalists. You are off topic because you do not want to admit the truth

Who is doing nothing different to right wing hate mongers

Judgement must be applied equally - now I have admitted, several posts ago, said I do not condone what has been done - what you are avoiding is acknowledging that the right wig are equally culpable and guilty

No they are both reprehensible something I am admitting but you are not. You want to condemn one but give a free pass to the others. My point is that either BOTH are wrong or BOTH are right

    Which is it?

(and BTW I do not want to get into "but he started it" but climate scientists have been facing this sort of harassment since 1995 - and far far far more of it)

I give a pass to no one. I am looking at the topic of the thread. You want to look at those not in the topic of the thread to not talk about the environmentalist that threaten people

Funny that he says "when the famines come". Warmer temperatures and higher lever of CO2 in the atmosphere will make for better crops and less chance of famines.

Then why are you running away from a simple question? You should just say both are wrong and be done with it. This farce just makes you look foolish.

Nonsense. Desertification would be widespread before such a fantasy could be realised.

Once again I call on you to compare this JOURNALISTS comments

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/stevezwick/2012/04/19/a-tennessee-firemans-solution-to-climate-change/

    He even added an addendum

Now compare that with these emails received by climate scientists

I will not let BB make excuses with something that has nothing to do with this thread. As always BB has to blame something unrelated. She needs to address the topic of the thread and stop trolling and going off topic.

A coulpe of posts ago the thread was about "Environmentalists that threaten people"

Now time and again I have stated that the journalists and media personnel inciting others to violence is wrong - no matter who they are or what side of the fence they sit on. I am actually getting the impression here, since you will NOT condemn right wing media personalities like Marc Morano that the more evidence I unearth of the systematic and vicious campaign against climate scientists the more uncomfortable certain people become - however I could be wrong

Bottom line is that it does not matter who is doing it it is wrong but on the other hand blaming an entire movement for the actions of a few is also wrong
