Jerry Springer had good ratings too, that doesn't mean people would elect him or his "people" to be president. Viewers love a good freak show.

 

Yes Democrats do not glorify psychopaths like Republicans do.

 

Will CNN try to create controversy, pit them against each other, ask stupid questions to embarrass them? Or will it all be powder puff and prove once again how biased all these stations are. Remember, FOX was actually tough on the candidates. We'll see about CNN.

Yes, the Republican debate was what low information Americans want....a sideshow, a silly "reality" show...not much thinking required ....are you surprised?

A Ken Burns documentary doesn't get as many viewers as the Simpson's.....that, unfortunately, is America.

The Liberal network tried to downplay expectations so they could claim success.

The fact of the matter is, the debate had 9 MILLION LESS than the Republican's. That's pathetic.

What is pathetic is that it takes a clown show to get the raging masses engaged in politics these days.

"Hungary is a Country ?" exclaims one gal on "smarter than a 5th grader" when asked "What is the Capital city of Hungary". Now it is forgivable that one does not remember that Budapest is the capital but to not know that Hungary is a country speaks volumes about our education system.

You know ... Austro-Hungarian "Empire" that existed until WWI ? The empire that one would learn about if one had learned anything about this one of two major "WORLD" wars in the last century that the US was involved in ?

OK fine - what about our own local history. What about the ideas under which our nation was founded. Silly stuff like the Declaration of Independence and the ideas behind the Constitution ?

Clueless. Absolutely clueless but this is simply because these things are not taught. I guess 12 years of school is not enough time to cover such trivialities.

How about the basics of Philosophy ? (Logic, Logical fallacy, what constitutes a valid argument). Teach kids how to think critically ? What a complete waste of time that is ... apparently.

We need the sheep to buy into the cacophony of fallacy and nonsensical arguments fed to them on a daily basis by Politicians and the Mass Media !! Educating the sheep in fallacy and critical thinking would impede that effort. No NO NO ... won't be doing that anytime soon.

 

The Democrats are too serious and boring, their all about fixing the economy the hard way with regulations and taxes on the rich, cleaning up the environment, not putting ground troops into action against Russia and the Middle East.

Republicans are more fun, making the rich richer with Donald Trump, getting into ground wars with Iran and Russia to show how tough we are, polluting the environment to create more jobs for the middle class drilling for oil.

The net recipient 40 percent of takers watch Democrats debate, the net contributor 60 percent of producers watch the Republicans debate. Mitt Romney was right all along.

The only solution they had was more Government and to spend more of our children's money. There is not enough "evil rich" people to pay for everything they wanted. I did like Jim Webb last night, but apparently the Democratic Party has moved so far left that Socialism is now acceptable.
