Again, there is very little evidence that any democrat even criticized the partial travel restriction from china. And Trump's JOB is to protect Americans, so the one magical bandaid step that he took has thus far failed to protect ~23K Americans who died in ~3 weeks.

Dr. Fauci said that this virus is not a major threat to Americans "right now" on January 21st and he was right. But I can guarantee you that he, and every other health expert, was following the data and knew even then that an outbreak in the US was a possibility - if not likely - and that the US was woefully unprepared for an epidemic, either through testing capacity, PPE capacity, or ventilator capacity.

I made a thread specifically about the virus on February 25th and from that point onward I told each and every person that they should take the virus seriously and to start incorporating better health practices, but it is not my job to protect every American.

Trump was still comparing Covid-19 to the seasonal flu nearly two weeks later.
