At some point the refusal to correct a mistake becomes a lie. When a government official tells you "mistakes were made" what he mean is they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Note It is never a promise to not do that again only that they'll try to be more careful next time.

It sure is quite on this thread....
just a few days ago there were some that jumped on the fake news wagon and rode it for all it was worth.... the left MSM jumped on it and then some regurgitated, as is always done, what that fake news was... the fake left news never sited any names, just allegations... a local poster had to dig to find ONE..

It bothers me when someone on the right is caught lying about something the left has done. This sort of thing should also bother you.

I thought it was very clear. I sometimes read about some event as described by someone on the right. When I check into it, it is not always as they described it or they leave out some key information. It bothers me to so see someone on the right doing this because it destroys our credibility.

It's one of their go-to's to restrict criticism and attack their opposition, like throwing the race card throw the death threat card.

And it was certainly parroted around here with a vengeance.

You think any of them will have the courage to admit that they were wrong and manipulated? Highly doubtful.

Remember... "Pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon!" ....and then several cops being targeted and killed?

As for "leftists groups marching with guns"...you should look up the John Brown Gun Club.

Some Democrats trying to goad another Civil War.

After Maine, Matt Taibbi Asks 'Is There Any Way This Ends Well?'
"I doubt the 14th Amendment was designed to empower unelected state officials to unilaterally strike major party front runners from the presidential ballot..."

    Affluent White Female Leftist (AWFL)

'Jared Golden, a Democratic congressman from Lewiston who voted to impeach Trump over the January 6th riots, quickly issued a statement: We are a nation of laws, therefore until he is actually found guilty of the crime of insurrection, he should be allowed on the ballot.'

'Eight years ago this month, the big story in the presidential race was whether or not Trump was out of line in saying Hillary Clinton got “*******ed” in the 2008 primary.'

Maine Democrat Official *Decrees* Trump Disqualified?

    She's not even a lawyer.

'In Maine, Democrats didn’t even bother with a judicial pretense. Also yesterday, Maine’s secretary of state Shenna Bellows barred Trump from appearing on the ballot after she decreed Trump an insurrectionist based on three challenges from registered voters. Bellows held a hearing two weeks prior to take testimony, and deduced Trump’s guilt without any trial or judicial involvement at all:'

    She just hates Trump.

'Section 5 required Congress to create legislation for the enforcement of the amendment, a provision which never grants any enforcement authority to the states:'

    5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

'Enforcement of this amendment comes at the federal level, not the states,'

'Congress passing legislation to enforce the provisions of the 14th Amendment. Congress also passed legislation to enforce Section 3, although that also took several decades. In 1948, Congress re-codified insurrection as a federal crime in 18 USC 2383, but Congress in 1862 first made it a federal crime (37 Stat. 590, ch. 195, § 2). That disqualified anyone convicted of the crime from holding “any office under the United States,” but it still required a trial and conviction under the other auspices of the Constitution.'

'Congress revisited the issue in 1948 and codified insurrection again as a federal crime in 1948. Congress exercised its jurisdiction and made clear that “insurrection” is a federal offense, one intended to be enforced by the federal government rather than the states.'

Josh Blackman remains skeptical that even this serves as a disqualification from the presidency for various technical reasons.

Legal Cases vs. Trump Are Validating His Narrative

His narrative about the witchhunt, unequal application of the law, and ballot rigging are accurate.

'The decision this week by the Colorado Supreme Court (by a 4-3 vote) to remove Donald Trump from the state’s ballot is a decided loss for democracy, arguably a worse loss for Democrats, and ultimately a win for Donald Trump — for several reasons.'

'First and foremost, and most obviously, in the Republican primary, Trump’s argument has been that democracy has been undermined by the various investigations that he has faced and is currently facing. Now, before any of the major Trump cases — including the one related to his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, which was the reason Colorado ruled he was ineligible for the ballot — have concluded, he has been preemptively removed from one state’s ballot.'

''This is unprecedented in American political life, and more importantly, Colorado’s decision sends a message confirming the worldview of Donald Trump: that he has been subjected to an ongoing witch hunt.'

'the fact of the matter is that looking back, prior allegations of Russian collusion did not exclude or prove what people thought it would about Trump’s victory in 2016, nor were they sufficient to disqualify Trump from any state’s ballot in that election.'

Some Dems are getting way too desperate. How far will they go in the face of rejection by the American People in favor of Trump?
