Confederate flag is still being used

    I see it as a reactionary attempt to live in the past and deny the present.

    Last time I checked the freedom of spĂȘech was still in the US Constitution. That also includes speech others don't like. I notice some people still use Communist symbols, in spite of Communism's track record of inhuman mass murder. I personally would never fly a Confederate flag, nor a Communist flag or a Nazi flag. It is my freedom not to do so, just as it is other people's freedom to do so if they choose.

    Your fake outrage over a piece of cloth is noted. For the historically illeterate like you, I'll take time out of my day to explain this for you.

    The the "Stars & Bars", or what is described as the confederate flag, was mearly used as a battle flag for the southern army. Of course it's morphed into many different meanings since its inception. So one would wonder why the southern army would use state flags, as you have suggested, and makes little sense.
