you all make much more out of Trump than we do, because you see him as a valid way to hide the incompetence of biden, Schumer and Pelosi

I agree with her. But the sunnyside of this is Trump helped the democrats to a huge election win when the Republicans should have won by a trillion miles. Perhaps Trump does have his purpose.

Different ideas like their VP should toss out electors from democratic states? Or having states ignore their popular vote and send in Trump electors? Puzzling why a president would not want to focus on this.

Take off you partisan blinders, and put Obama or Biden in that position. If your opinion changes (I doubt you can admit it), then you have zero argument.

it has a mixed benefit. if the GOP got both houses and things didn't improve, that would help the dems immensely in 2024. If we get gridlock and nothing improves, the GOP should win the senate and the presidency in 2024.

That's not necessary. I'm looking at the words, looking for anything suggesting that Trump asked Rasenberger to do anything illegal. I don't see it. If it's so clear to you why don't you just point to it? Don't just repeat what you read somewhere else without the context.

I can already see the cat fight of Republican females vying for his VP spot.

In bold, to me, that's one of the most ironically stupid things I think I've read today, Bravo! As for context, it's clear that reality is going against the partisan blinders hard...you do you but sad regardless.

There's no way in hell to hide Trump's political incompetence, toxic narcissism and mental instability.
He puts it on display daily.

Reflective posts are also likely reflexive for hyper partisans.

I see this (from Meadows) that Trump did not object to clearly stating what they were looking for.

"What I’m hopeful for is there some way that we can we can find some kind of agreement to look at this a little bit more fully. You know the president mentioned Fulton County."

You do realize the Republicans got 4% more votes nationally than the democrats. That tells me that even though national chaos won this time around, it’s not a long term trend.
Weak or strong I see new House candidates as reform candidates, and as the economy grinds on it going to be a very happy country by 2024, unless by some miracle Biden leaves and they can find a intelligent replacement.

Winning the presidency in 2024 will depend on who the nominees are. The two candidates a very good sized major don’t want running is Biden and Trump.

By 68%-27%, voters don't want Trump to run for a second term. By 64%-26%, voters don't want Biden to run for a second term.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-trump-rematch-2024-suffolk-poll/10596438002/

Now those numbers certainly will change between now and 2024, but they do show people are tired of both and today, don’t want neither one to run again.

As for the senate in 2024, unlike this year, the democrats will be defending 23 of the 33 seats up for reelection. With the right candidates, I think AZ, MT, NV, OH, PA, WV and WI are in play for possible gains by the GOP. But it will take the right candidates. Candidates that can appeal to the independent voter which the Republicans really screwed up this cycle in finding candidates that do appeal to independents. All the Republicans seats up in 2024 look fairly safe. At least as of today.

The house may depend who is at the top of the ticket and whether or not he has coat tails. Biden didn’t, Obama did.

Oh yes because 60 something million people had that idea.

And it's almost like you forget in 2016 how some Democrats were advocating that the state's electors should faithlessly vote for Hillary against procedures.... Funny how the memory is so short isn't it?

A few electors said to vote for a republican other than Trump, not Hilary. Hardly gained any traction. I don't recall any dems marching to the capitol to stop the process or the president whining to the VP to toss out votes. Every party has some extremist idea, but when that extremist idea comes from the very top, it's concerning and thus needs attention.

    Little reminders:

"He also led with some important context about what preceded the Jan. 2 call. The White House was persistent in trying to reach Raffensperger, with staffers including former chief of staff Mark Meadows calling and texting his office 18 times to try to set up a call with the president.

Meadows himself visited a signature-auditing site in Georgia to meet with the chief investigator who was supervising the process there. Trump spoke on the phone with that investigator, Frances Watson, the following day, continuing to push false claims and telling her that "when the right answer comes out you'll be praised."

Trump said: "There's nothing wrong with saying that, you know, you've recalculated ... even if you cut them in half, cut them in half and cut them in half again, it's more votes than we need."

Schiff asked whether there was any way that Raffensperger could have lawfully changed the result of the vote in Georgia by explaining it as a "recalculation."

"No," Raffensperger said. "The numbers are the numbers, the numbers don't lie."

If Trump runs as a reform candidate, and becomes the “Good Trump”, he will win. The economy by 2024, will still be looking for a bottom.
The top line money guys are hedging, but they are not making public predictions for ‘23 & 24. It is unsettling when they are quiet with their predictions.

True, but a big part of the electorate aren’t paying attention right mow. The haters are just being nicer about it, but they still hate him and the citizens he represents.

Look at the contrast: Trump was a reformer who reformed, and he brought the middle class money, and now it has been destroyed by a party who’s leadership promised to finish the job.
Sooo… I’m not going to stick a fork in him yet.
