It used to say "Cosby admits to drugging woman", now it says "Cosby admits to giving Quaaludes to woman".

But it is. The left is going after Cosby because he's one of the few conservative blacks with cred. (Or he was, anyway, before all of this).

Well, I don't know if the guy "surreptitiously" drugged women or not. There are "enough" women who claim he did, that it definitely leads one to wonder. However... where are the charges? Where are the lawsuits? Where is the proof? So far, just allegations, and I mean... if you know anything about Quaaludes, every other word that comes out of your mouth is "yeah baby", so if you took the Quaaludes knowingly, like these women did, you got nothin'. Then it was your fault, not his. You said "yes" and you forgot. Quaaludes do that.

I'll retain an open mind. I'm not saying the guy is innocent. All I'm saying is that this particular headline is a complete fabrication, and an obvious sensationalist smear.

Hm. Honestly now - how many men do you know, who've tried to ply a woman with drugs or alcohol?

In a court of law, if the woman says "yes", it's not rape. If someone "slips" the woman a drug, unknown to her, surreptitiously, then that's rape. But if she takes the drug voluntarily and then says "yes", it becomes difficult. Depends on how the case goes, what other evidence there is, what state it's in, and what court it's in. In some states, drugs are "very bad", and anything with drugs trumps anything else going on. In other states the drugs are almost meaningless, and the only question is whether sex occurred and whether it was voluntary.

Personally I think if this is the only way Bill could get laid, he's kind of a cheap nut ain't he? Certainly not a role model for the kiddies - however by all accounts the kiddies don't need any role models these days, they're already doing all that stuff.

Cosby in sworn testimony unsealed Monday admitted that he gave the now-banned sedative to at least one of his accusers and to unnamed others. His lawyer interfered before he could answer deposition questions in 2005 about how many women were given drugs and whether they knew about it.

"If today's report is true, Mr. Cosby admitted under oath 10 years ago sedating women for sexual purposes," said Lisa Bloom, attorney for model Janice Dickinson, who contends she was drugged and raped. "Given that, how dare he publicly vilify Ms. Dickinson and accuse her of lying when she tells a very similar story?" . . . .

Exactly. Anybody around back in the day knows that 'Ludes were popular for one reason, and one reason only. EVERYBODY knew this, men and women alike.

So Cosby is no saint. I don't see where he's a criminal, either.

 

This mostly happened in the 70's and 80's. these women did not think they had a prayer of being believed, let alone a prayer of winning a legal battle with Mr. family friendly , funny and rich. Plus Its date rape before date rape became well discussed and publicized. its hard enough to press charges of rape when the whole world does not love and adore your rapist.

 

The news claims they are beyond the statute of limitations although he now faces private, civil suits by the victims.

Jerry Sandusky is not a black man voicing his opinion about the state of the liberal mindset that enslaves the black people. Cosby was voicing his opinion, and trying to make a dent in this ongoing crime and he was silenced for it.

 

To be fair, the article in the OP is misleading and/or is not telling the whole truth.

A judge asked Cosby if he ever obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to you women to have sex with. Cosby said "yes".

The judge then asked Crosby if he gave them to women without their knowledge and Cosby's attorney objected.

After Cosby and his attorney chatted briefly, Cosby told the judge that he misunderstood the original question and though the question said woman, not women. It was never discovered whether he gave quaaludes to the woman without her knowledge.....or if he gave any drugs to women without their knowledge.

While, in my opinion, there is too much smoke to believe that Cosby wasn't up to some sort of shenanigans. I only posted this as too many people are seeing this latest revelation as much more than it is. It is not proof that he drugged women to have sex with them or that he used drugs on them without their knowledge.

 

Well, so much for conservatives defending this scumbag even after 3 dozen women came forward with near exact accusations.

Guess he won't be held in high regard any more for criticizing black culture in America.

 

The article I read yesterday had women from the original case testify that they knew he was giving them ludes, but that doesn't mean that he didn't slip the drugs to other women without their knowledge, so, who knows?

It's just sad that someone of Cosby's fame and wholesome image might turn out to be a sexual predator.

At this point, I doubt we'll ever know the real truth. His admission in 2005 casts a bad shadow on him.

Yeah, it's a shame. He was promoting a positive message for black people.

But what are we supposed to do? Ignore his absolutely disgusting, and dare I say, hypocritical, behavior just because he had a positive message? That's ridiculous.

 

I have my doubts about denying the accusations or refusing to admit their validity rises to the level of defamation, but we will see.

No what I am saying is that he is being character assassinated, for speaking his mind. If he is brought to trail and found guilty, I will change my tune. Prior to that, he has done nothing wrong. innocent till proven guilty.
