Bottom line: If someone wants to have an abortion, its her body and your opinion is irrelevant. On the other hand, if someone is morally opposed, they should not be forced to pay for it.
But isnt that essentially what a main focus of planned parenthood? Provides abortions for those who can’t afford it or those hiding from their parents?
That’s also a problem. To me if you have a baby on welfare your child should have to given up but then we still pay for it. Frankly the best option is forced abortions for anyone on welfare. It’s not like those people are seeing Docs their whole pregnancy anyway. They’re already screwing the kids over.
No. Well baby and well woman care and cancer and STD screening. Abortions are only about 5% of total patient services.
Yes, yes, yes, I've heard it all before. I don't have any logic or reason and I throw tantrums if I don't get my way. You seem to have left out the lacking common sense bit and the book smart vs street smart argument. Just so you know, your complaints, while obviously meant as insults, don't come off that way to me. More like resentment. Why is it that all you conservatives claim to be all about individual accomplishments, yet, as is obvious here, are jealous of those who have achieved things beyond yourselves. However, I suspect that it has a lot to do with conservative rhetoric. After all haven't you all been being told, for decades, how dumb liberals are. It must be a shock to discover the opposite is true.
Cop out There is aid maternity leave in other countries Bottom line. You want to reduce abortion then reduce the factors that make a woman have to choose
But they won't I know My state has some very very nasty legislation banning abortion We still have legal abortions performed here
Agreed. OTOH, who is being forced to pay for abortions? Doesn't the Hyde Amendment prevent it except in cases of rape or incest? How many here are against abortions for rape and incest victims?
Moynihan was wrong. The culprit causing black families' our-of-wedlock births & a culture of dependence was the institution of slavery, from 1619 thru 1865. Post Civil War America, with its Jim Crow laws simply reinforced it. There have been individual black leaders who've expressed concern and offered suggestions for a cure, but the problem is complex and deeply rooted in black American culture. A cure is possible, but at best would take years or generations. It's also plausible that it will be a permanent fixture of black American culture forever. It's a sad remnant from the cruelty & inhumanity of slavery.
It's purpose is not to kill a child, but to prevent a child from developing. There's a big difference.
I oppose abotlrtiond Planned Nonparenthood isn't wetting their panties because they're worried about losing the right to charge women for mammograms. Over 90% of the money that Planned Nonparenthood gets is from killing children. But that's ok if you're against human rights.
Really? That's your distinction? Do you have children? If someone killed your 5 year old child to stop them from developing into a 6 year old, would that make it any better? I think not
A fetus is not a child until it becomes viable--capable of self-sustained life. It's not legally alive, therefore aborting it is not a killing exercise. You can't kill something not already alive.
A euphemism doesn't change the act. A person could "terminate his parentage" by killing his mother and father, but the act remains the same.
