... San Francisco City Supervisor Hillary Ronen announced last week that she is "begging" for more police officers for her crime-ravaged city, particularly in the district she oversees...

During the Mostly Peaceful Riots®, the mayor of San Fran proposed a $35 million cut to the SFPD. Ronen called that "a slap in the face" and nuked $120 million from SFPD's budget. "I want to make it clear that I believe strongly in defunding the police and reducing the number of officers on our force..."

Mission, Bayview, and Ingleside, all overseen by Ronen, accounted for 41% of arson incidents in the city during that time period; 18% of the larceny thefts; 29.8% of burglaries; 38% of assaults; 37% of robberies; 36% of rapes; 50% of motor vehicle thefts; and 66% of murders. At least half of San Francisco's reports of human trafficking this year have also taken place in Ronen's district... "It hurts. And I feel betrayed by the department. I feel betrayed by the mayor. I feel betrayed by the priorities of the city..."

She's admitted the city doesn't have the money to shovel out millions in "reparations" to black residents, but she's doing it anyway. I have zero sympathy for Americans living in that cesspool. You voted for all of it, morons.

Do you live in a vacuum? That's was all the Democrats were screaming for during the 2020 riots. They were pointing to the "summer of love" and the "wonderful" community of "Chop" in Seattle, Washington ... until the somebody got killed and the criminals had robbed all the stores.

Now the Democrats are accusing the Republicans of advocating for a cut in the FBI's budget as a diversionary tactic. The FBI needs to be REFORMED because it has become a political police force for the Democrats under Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland, not defunded.

Much of what I heard about defund the police didn’t consist of any nuance. Some of the Democrats that were calling for defunding them were speaking of removing their ability to act as paramilitary forces.

We need to remove the bad eggs and promote the good ones.

Does anyone notice how the crime rates in all the cities, where @cd8ed claims they are spending too much money, are rising? Obviously if we spend less money on the police in those cities, the crime rates will fall, right?

Only if you believe in progressive, pro criminal logic. In the world of progressivism, criminals are the victims and the people whom the criminals prey upon have gotten what they deserved or are just chronic complainers.

We should spend the money on social workers instead of the police in the world of progressivism. And by extension, more money on funerals after the criminals have blown the social workers away.

The questions remain as to why we are spending more per capita on our police forces than other nations spend on their military and we have higher rates of crime and incarceration.
