Successful coups always purge their opponents in any way they can get away with.

Where can I find video of Hunter Biden having sex with underage children and doing drugs?

Extradition is a process of compelling a suspect to be moved from one state or country to the place where an alleged crime has occurred. Evidently, the Governor of Florida has indicated that he would help Trump to avoid being extradited in the event of Trump being indicted. Pretty simple.

I can understand that a Governor might fight extradition to another State for State crimes. But, I believe the Trump extradition might come from the Federal Attorney for the Southern District of New York indicting for federal crimes, from one federal jurisdiction to another...ergo the Florida Governor may not have the power to block a federal extradition.

Agreed, but everything coming from De Santis is a political move. Whether he can actually do this (which he surely knows, one way or the other) isn't the point.

There is no such thing as an extradition between federal districts.

Judges sign extradition orders and can do so over the objection of the state where the fugitive resides. Anyway, I believe Trump will submit to NY authorities if indicted. The belief that he would fight is reminiscent of the belief that he'd have to be dragged out of the White house.

OK...what is the point then? There may well be New York State laws, which are indictable, which he could obstruct. My guess is that virtually all Republican potential presidential candidates for 2024 would prefer to have Trump gone, regardless of their "vows of loyalty." So, De Santis may want to block extradition on the NY State crimes, but "reluctantly" comply on the federal crimes. In a way, similar to Pence's position on January 6th at the Capitol Building. Pence had already told Trump that he didn't think he had the constitutional authority to return the ballots to the States, leading Trump to call upon the speech audience at the Ellipse to "march on the Capitol" and persuade Pence to "change the rules" over what Trump believed to be a fraudulent election.

Well, not by that name. But if you are indicted in federal court in NY and refuse to go, you can be arrested in Florida and "removed" to NY.

Trump's lawyers know this and Trump is not going to create a hidey hole in Florida anyway.

De Santis will not even be asked to block extradition to NY if there is a state indictment, and he has no power to block removal (not "extradition") to federal court in NY.

Let's not get worked up over nothing.

Though I don't disagree with you, I see a more devious intent.

Yes, De Santis will not be able to stop federal authorities, and after riding Trump's coattails until and if this happens, he has set himself and Trump up to play the victim card, which Trumpers will lap up obediently.

That may be...it may be that federal Marshals could arrest him in Florida and transport him to the NY Court or just try him on federal charges in Florida. I noticed that Mueller, who was physically located in the District of Columbia, signed the charges against Michael Cohen, brought by the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of NY...i.e Mueller didn't have to extradite Cohen back to DC.

Yeah...more likely. Better to stay close to Trump and play the victim card, then blame it all on the feds and let them take Trump out of the 2024 picture.

I don’t see it that way at all. If there is clear and convincing evidence that Trump or anyone else committed crimes then he and they should be prosecuted. If there is not, they should be publicly cleared by their accusers.

For example, several news sources and political opponents have claimed repeatedly that Hillary Clinton was involved in several murderers, in a pizza parlor child sex abuse operation, that she was guilty of deliberately getting four foreign service officers killed in Benghazi and several other atrocities. If there was clear and convincing evidence of any of this, I would hope that she would be arrested, indicted and tried for these crimes. Yet Trump’s DOJ did nothing in that regard in their 4 full years in charge.

It is also true that law enforcement agencies, news sources and political opponents have accused Trump and members of his administration cooperated with Russian Intel assets who hacked into private email accounts of Clinton and her associates and strategically released these stolen materials to discredit Clinton and help Trump win. Also, that the investigation run by Trump’s DOJ concluded that Trump was guilty of several counts of obstruction of justice. He has also been accused of crimes involving his threatening call to the Georgia Secretary of State urging him to find enough votes to overturn the election in Georgia. There are several other accusations out there too.

Just as with the accusations which have been leveled against Clinton, the ones that have been leveled against Trump are just that, accusations. However if an actual prosecutor files actual charges against Trump or any of his associates then we will see who’s right or wrong. So now it’s time for the DOJ to either put up or shut up.

This was publicly debunked, was it not?

"The Washington Post recently had to issue a high-profile correction to January reporting about one of two known calls in which Trump urged state officials to find evidence to overturn Georgia’s presidential election results

A newly surfaced recording of one of the calls, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, showed that the Post misquoted Trump, prompting the newspaper to post its correction on March 11."

He can plead guilty in Florida to a federal indictment out of NY, but any trial would be in federal court in NY.

Give me a brake. The left and the media were claiming impeachment proceedings the day he took office. Then the left falsified evidence (and got caught) (TWICE) in two impeachment attempts to remove him from office.

Then we had a 3 year fake investigation into a sitting president being a Russian plant.

You mean like the fake law we all had a front seat for while the left got caught falsifying evidence in two fake impeachment attempts?

Which has what to do with faking claims about a sitting president being a Russian plant, initiating impeachment proceedings the day a president takes office, and getting caught twice in two impeachment attempts providing falsified evidence to remove a president just because the other side didn't vote for him?

Yes, accusing a sitting president as a Russian plant was transparent but it didn't stop Democrats from making a fool of themselves. Neither did two fake impeachments where Democrats were caught falsifying evidence. Where is all this justice for knowingly falsifying evidence and lying to the American people?

The left is the only platform playing victim cards like blaming everything on systemic racism. Calling out Democrats as liars isn't playing victim, its just calling them out for what they are.
