OK...so he wouldn't be "extradited," but just "transferred" from one federal facility to another?

Correct. It's "from one federal district to the other." The judge on the receiving end can entertain a request for bail when he gets there, or the detainee can make the request in the District where he is arrested. I doubt that federal authorities would even seek to detain him. If they did, Trump would ask for bail in federal Court in Florida to avoid being transferred in restraints to NY.

Sometimes, in some places, there is no federal detention center (jail),and in that case he is housed in a state facility until trial or until he pleads guilty or until he is released on conditions (bail).

They aren't "going after grandkids." They are going after Weisselberg for potential illegal activity involving those payments. Most likely tax evasion. Why do you guys like to pretend that tax evasion isn't a crime?

I am "you guys" and make no such pretense. Why do you generalise?

If you make no such pretense, then you aren't "you guys." I'm talking about the Trump supporters who try to downplay things like tax evasion, bank fraud, and other "process crimes."

They hated him from the second he announced his candidacy and they're still cranked-off that Billary lost.

I doubt that there are many Trump supporters who really downplay real fraud and real tax evasion. After Russiagate and the Mueller boondoggle, they can be excused for questioning the motives of investigators and whether there is any "there" there.

They aren't going after their education. They are going after potential financial crimes involving his payment. Why do you insist on pretending that you can't comprehend this? How will continuing to play make believe go?

See the conversation with Bluesguy. See every thread in which Trump's potential financial crimes have been brought up. Literally all of them.

I think that is one of the major issues this nation is facing, we no longer simply disagree with one another and instead their is extreme aggression which only leads to more aggression. I have never thought ill of conservatives until trump and now — it just feels like politics have changes, for the much much worse.

To be fair Republicans attacked Obama pretty regularly; his children, his citizenship, his wife... I didn’t even like him and I thought it was extreme, I don’t know if politics prior were as bad as I wasn’t politically aware but trump and his base doubled down. His supporters used phrases like “f*** your feelings” and cheered when he “owned the libs”. Y’all outright mocked people for disagreeing with him. Did you get as equally upset when Obama was attacked, if not you were definitely mad they were attacking trump not the office.

The two party system will destroy this nation. It was predicted by men much more intelligent than I could ever imagine. The way to start to cure that is elimination of FPTP, elimination of partisan gerrymandering, get money out of politics, open primaries and equal representation.

If someone is charged on one state and is located in another state they must be arrested and extradited by local authorities. New York cannot go to Florida and arrest him.

I don't think so. Hilary was never that popular. I voted for her, but as the lesser of evils and she was far, far better prepared for the Presidency than was Trump. I think Trump's 2016 victory was due to three things (in order of importance): 1) the RNC's failure to adequately vet him and their fear he'd use his money to run as an independent and split the Party; 2) her failure to run a good campaign, ranging from a predisposition to put loyalty ahead of smarts to illness and her usage of a private e-mail account as Secretary of State; and 3) the Russian's, who saw her as a foreign policy "hawk" and an instigator in Ukraine, and wanted Trump to win.

I get it, when Trump breaks the law, it is a fake law :)

FYI, this whole political movement is now Trump dependent. If he doesn't make it in 2024, what then ?? :) :)

No, you obviously don't get it. When Democrats make a fake claim and get caught falsifying evidence, that isn't Trump breaking the law. Its just Democrats breaking the law to unseat a political rival.

What you never figured out was, most Republicans (Conservatives) never liked Trump. They liked his policies. You assumed they were all Trump fans. They aren't. And when you consider Hillary as president, Trump became unbeatable. If my choices are lowest unemployment in history, Ending the regulatory assault on American Businesses and Workers, becoming energy independent, immigration control, and Reciprocal Trade I will vote for HR Puff-in-stuff. None of these things are on the Democrat agenda so why are we even considering them for elections? Because it has become about Trump vs the left.

I even voted for Obama in the first election because he promised everything Trump did. Did he do it? Nope. He even tried to convince everyone that we needed to get used to the economy in place and that the only way Trump could change it was with a magic wand. Remember that?

Most on the left are more concerned about power right now than they are policy and most on the left believes everyone on the right are these cultist Trump followers and the left automatically foregoes any policies that were put in place. Why? Because the left hates Trump more than they care about policy. That isn't taking a shot, its just how things came to be.

Trump is and always has been a pig. NOBODY I know of on the right will argue with that statement. Not even in here. But who else is standing at the microphone claiming to put such policies in place. NOBODY.

So lets talk about Obama in comparison for a second. If Trump had tapped the phones of leftist media reporters, arrested them, raided their homes and tried to charge them with espionage or told the world that the attack on Bengasi was over an internet video, or sent billions in cash to a terrorist because even US banks wouldn't do it, what do you think would have been the outcome with Trump? Obama didn't receive anything more than most presidents of the past not to even bring up an adoring media every single freaking day.

Democrats started their impeachment process the day Trump took office not to mention, I don't recall anyone attending an Obama rally being attacked or some city Mayor trying to shut down event locations. EVER. I think you are confused about the difference in what you believe people defending Trump over people accusing the left of criminal behavior. No media in the world EVER ran a 24/7 hate campaign on a president for 5 solid years prior to Trump.

So just for argument sake. lets pretend we agree on everything I just posted as I can GURANTEE you over 70 million people in this country really do. (as do I) This has destroyed any opportunity for anyone of credibility or actual value to step up to the microphone for decades. Point in fact, the best the left offered is Biden? Or for that matter Trump and Hillary?

No matter who decides to run against Biden in the next election, the gloves have come off. They will be crucified by the left the day they announce their candidacy. There will be THOUSANDS of stories from fake confirmed sources that the guy (or woman) is (X). and riots will be the order of the day at every rally they can find. The person running (and his team) will receive death threats daily and DOXED at every opportunity. The media will pile on and whomever is running, that same 70 million will come out in droves to rallies and speeches.

Whoever it will be, you and I both know it won't be anyone much different in caliber than Biden, Trump. or Hillary. On that you can be assured.

Sometimes he is. Sometimes I am.

Nobody is completely "this" or "that" 100% of the time.

That said,, I liked Trump personally more than I liked HRC, about whom I liked nothing, ever. I am sure she had her good points, but she was and is the most repulsive public figure known to me, after Maxine Waters maybe.

That argument works in the general but doesn't explain the primaries. Those are standard Republican objectives and could have been accomplished by any of the candidates. That Trump beat Hillary means Bush, Rubio or maybe even Cruz could have as well. Kasich would have won by a landslide, and be on his second term right now.

    No, it's not the policies.
