    I'm pretty sure he knew this law would be found unconstitutional. I didn't go to Yale or Harvard and I figured that out a while back.

    It's blatant short-termism. As long as it wins him some votes, who cares if it's overturned as long as it gets him where he wants to be next?

    Something that many on the right have yet to realise - eg abortion bans where they did not relise it would increase maternal mortality. A better example is MTG who thinks that you can impeach/jail people based on whack a doodle conspiracy theories

    Sadly I think it worse than that - I really really have to question some of America’s tertiary education standards as it seems to have produced some real twonks - thinking Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan all of whom have supposedly “studied law” none of whom seem to be able to find their own backsides with both hands and a map

    Seriously, lighten up. It isn't about you, or me. It's about people who have had to hide themselves and pretend to be "normal," and can now finally relax and be who they are on the inside. The furor will eventually ease down.

    What drives them nuts is they know that virtually everyone is against them. I can't wait to see the furious backlash of 90% of society. You don't mess with people's kids. Of course the lbg whatever's don't know that because they don't have any kids... But they would love to talk to yours!!!
