He's not honorable. He's a Yale and Harvard trained lawyer passing laws he knows are unconstitutional and will be overturned. His hope: his gambit, is that, by the time the law is overturned, he will have gained whatever political advantage he was vying for in the first place. In this case that was a shot at the presidency but the expediency of this ruling seems to suggest his timing was a little off?

 

You do realize that sitting in a school reading stories to children is not the same as doing a ‘gig’ for little kiddies.

They will already have swallowed the cost for their defense lawyers. On top of that you have the court costs and the plaintiffs' fees which I'm sure were awarded when the suit was lost.

The State says they will appeal but that's another expensive, not to mention lengthy, process.

My guess is DeSantis will drop this like a hot rock in the very likely event he does not win the primary. It loses its value if it's no longer helping him slide up the greasy pole.
