Hey God, if you exist, did you give the Jews a place called Israel? Grumpy, will bark once for yes, twice for no, or growl and paw at his empty bowl if God does not answer at all.

    2 hrs later:

Grumpy fell asleep trying to find out when Jews were first called Jews in Humans Holy book.

The Scriptures are not based on fact. There is no God and therefore no one could give land to any one. It was attained by human actions, as always.

They all have legitimate claims but after thousands of years of fighting do you think it matters any more? They either stop fighting or finish each other off, no other solution is possible. Only they can resolve it and the radicals will never let that happen.

Even if God didn't give the land to the Jews. They took it by right of conquest, a concept that was still legally accepted in the first half the 20th century.

The only way Israel won't exist is if it's wiped off the face of the earth by force, but of course that will cost just about every Arab nation their capital.

It was taken by Muslims, then, the jews, then the catholics, then back to the jews, then to the muslims, and then taken back by the jews. At least that is what happened over the last 3000 years. What myths and fary tails happened before that is only myth, and fary tail.

If you understand this post, than you are not likely a *********, sovereign citizen, or republican. If you don’t understand this post and have only a one liner attack against me. Know this, I do not get in to a war of intellect with a fool who has no weapons.

where did i read that before: wiped off the map.....?

there sure aint a map of 2000 years ago with the word israel on it

and if any have observed the amarna letters of 3000 yrs ago, egypt was governing canaan (israel) during the period the jews called 'exodus'

so what is an exodus from egypt to egyptian held lands?

i consider the exodus the schism from the old religion to the monotheism and that was ahkenatan who did that, which created amarna in the first place.

    >>>They took it by terror and by the fact that Truman, Churchill and Stalin were anti-semites who wanted a place to put the Jews.

The British gave them that land because they couldn't stay in Germany after WW2.

The United States has the second highest population of Jews after Israel also because of this.

You're clearly not aware of Stalin offering to put the Jews up in Crimea after he got rid of the Tatars.

That is indeed how land is gained or lost.

I never thought I'd be able to agree with you on anything, Blackrook. So this is cool :)

Hebrew is a word...actually...which derives itself from Eber the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah...according to scriptures...

Eber loosely means "To cross over" or "To pass over". It can also denounce other places...as in Across.

Interestingly enough, as a verb (Ebra) it means wrath and rage.

The argument/debate of the meaning of the term goes on today, as many do not like the classical definitions...go figure...

Another interesting tidbit is that in and about the 14th century BC, the Egyptians called these people the "Habiru". An uncomplimentary label meaning 'The Interlopers'. At the time, Egyptian kings were complaining to their Pharaoh that these "Habiru" were taking over commerce in their provinces.

That's about the long and the short of it...The Hebrew people...contrary to what people commonly believe as being outcast from society as punishment for having a leading hand in the death of Christ (a load of Catholic bunk!)...but rather they have always found themselves as outcasts. It appears this has allot to do with their somewhat natural talent for being slightly more greed-driven in business than most others. I don't know why that is...perhaps its a natural result of being constantly outcast from whatever society they inhabit...

    Deuteronomy 3:27 (King James Version)

27Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan

ie..... the bad guys are the fools that took the golan (and jeruselem) of 67'

i be trying to share, the bad guys are the beasts of oppression over a belief

You have to admit one thing and that is the odds of an ancient religion surviving for as long as it has with continued modern appeal and scriptures dependent upon the nation Israel existing for end time prophesies to occur. After all, look at all the major religions of the world. Pretty much all of them are based upon the God of the Bible. Why?

Then you have a people who have been hunted like dogs since time began, not only surivive against the odds, they now flourish in Israel despite and entier world united against them. The Jewish struggle for survival in lands abroad was even prophesied. Some only remember the Holocaust that they survived through, but really everything that happened to the Jews during the Holocaust pretty much happened over the centuries before that. The Holocaust was simply the climax of the Jewish fight in a "strangers land" and was the main reason the Jews were given Israel. Of course, this is also the reason why there are a myriad of those who deny the Holocaust ever happened who think Israel should go bye, bye.

Now getting back to prophesy, Israel has the entire worlds attention and has since they became a nation again in 1948. In Revelation it indicates that all the nations will come against Israel for one final battle, this from a centuries old prophesy. Of course, you will say it is by chance or people trying to manufacture the prophesy to come true, but I would say that it is nothing short of miraculous that such prophesies look like they are about to unfold.

    Hinduism is older than Judaism.

Israel only exists because of european anti semitism - which was the basis for the British encouraging Jews to settle in Palestine - a view they revised when it became clear that this was not a good idea.

the only reason Israel was creatd in post war Palestine was because of Jewish terrorist activity - and european and american holocaust guilt.

Ok God did not give Israel anything, the 1940s agreement gave the Jews back the land. Imagine since, what 69 AD when the Romans got so fed up with the jews that not only did they annihilate their country and sell them into slavery, the Jews were scattered almost 2,000 years and then LUCY I am Home...and the Arabs are supposed to give back (their) land.

Now saying God gave it to you is going to cause problems when the people on the land subscribe to a different religion. It has been arab land for two millennia so you can see the problems. Calling yourself "the chosen people" has its own Chutzpah. This hatfield mcCoy fight will never end.

----The prophesy was written by a people enslaved and brutalized by the world. To foretell furture sufferage is not prophesy anymore than forecasting rain in April.

----The fact Yaweh promised land to the Jews that belonged to other people is further proof that he delights in bloodshed and mayhem. Abrahamists are steeped in so much blood they resemble a deranged, vampire race.

Since no god, or allah exists, then the question is meaningless. The land of the mid-east belongs to whomever can hold it by right of arms, as do ALL lands.

The land belongs to everyone who wants to live there. The biggest problem is the idea of a "Jewish government" and a "Muslim government"

Keep it secular and open for all people, with all religion out of it, then it would be good.
