We as in the government, the country, citizens, etc.

 

They are just a much a citizen, the country and government as you are. How did YOU as a citizen, through government and the country provide them with wealth and security? How did YOU provide Steve Jobs with wealth and security he did not provide for himself?

 

The taxes that people pay fund police and firefighters to protect Steve Jobs' property (and anybody's), fund the roads goods travel on, etc. Nobody can get rich purely by themselves. It's just a fact.

 

I think it is clear that you feel you are right and I feel that I am right. We live in a County where majority rules, so we are going to have to wait to see which side wins in NOV. Time will tell

The Repubs fought FOR Civil Rights...not the Dems, in fact the Dems are noted for their speeches on the floor of Congress of pushing segregation.
The Repubs voted in favor of almost every Civil Rights legislation since the 1920's and the Democrats have voted against most of the same legislation...but yet are claiming to be the party of the minority.

Are people actually this stupid and blind?

 

What I would like to know is what you think. You seem to think the highest earners are not paying enough in taxes. How much more of the tax bill should they pay? What is the obligation of the top 1%, the top 10% and what is the tax obligation of the bottom 50%?

 

More Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act than against it.

 

Not for the 150 years the Republicans tried to pass Civil Rights legislation and in fact Democrats repealed some of the acts the Republicans did get passed. And even the final bill when the Democrats FINALLY voted in support the Republicans vote for in higher percentage than did the Democrats.

 

Yes, liberals and Democrats ARE that stupid and blind. Liberals and the Democratic Party HATE actual HISTORY as it did happen. They lie to themselves and all that are stupid enough to listen, that history happened the way liberals, Democrats, WISH it had happened. 24/7/365, they live a lie.
They claim they are FOR the disadvantaged and the poor. Yet the suffering of both would not be any worse under a hateful dictator than the suffering has been under liberals "help."
I just returned from visiting a number of foreign nations. In one, the subject of welfare and unemployment compensation came up [their rate is 9.5%, but that includes EVERYONE not having a job.] They are a very happy people and very friendly, The govt provides support for anyone physically or mentally unable to work. ANYONE able bodied, GETS NOTHING! And there is NO unemployment compensation. Those not working for whatever their own reasons may be, get support from their families or they get NO support.
The literacy rate is OVER 99%. KNOWING that EACH person MUST become self-supporting keeps them in school because they know they are doomed without education.
Liberals here don't have the balls to demand that each person be self-supporting. If they did, their base would have no incentive to vote for any liberal.

Exactly. It's the left who are obsessed with skin color. I still remember the first time I heard a Democrat refer to Barack Obama as a BLACK man, very early in his campaign. My first thought was WTF? Didn't we just spend the last thirty years learning to 'judge a man by the depth of his character and not the color of his skin?'

The DNC packaged, marketed and sold Barack Obama as a BLACK man. And even worse... he ALLOWED himself to be called BLACK.

When it comes to racism, it's always been the Dems strategy to 'keep 'em down and keep 'em needy.' Hard to believe Black Americans have never caught on... even with unemp approaching 20%.

 

And then the Dixiecrats pretty much all turned Republican. Funny how things change, huh?

 

Nothing changed. Democrats voted in Robert Byrd, Klansman, so many times that he became the longest serving congressman in history. Obviously Democrats don't care that much about racism.

Dems learned how to use race as a weapon to obtain votes and slander the opposition. It's sad that so many people fall for their act.

 

One guy surely contradicts an entire region switching parties. Your logic, as always, is impeccable.

Every one of my Gray Hair Democrat Relitives in the South (Texas, Alabama...who are still alive are still Democrats , I don't see what you said as the reality .

 

California switched parties ,States in the South still are Rife with Democrats .

 

The polls don't support your statement.

 

Look at Elected Representitives from Houston (Sheila Jackson Lee) & New Orleans & Atlanta & Savannah & various States like South Carolina & Virginia...All rife with Democrats ( From Austin to Jacksonville they are well represented .

 

Would you consider all of those as "blue" areas? Really?

Would you consider Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and Florida all "blue" as well?
