It should never be allowed to live in the first place and that is especially true now.

Neither you nor anyone else has given an example, so until I see otherwise, I will take it as being true.

Didn't read thread. Thread premise is just as silly as when the other side was claiming Obama was seeking to become king. Moronic.

I gave a number...Iran, ussr, russia, Iraq, Cuba...heck China (at one point)

What I have really not seen is a president giving a heads up to companies, that this might happen, and to look some place else, as this president did

Trump is scared to death of the White House press corps. Trump has terminated press conferences conducted by his press secretary in the White House press room. Trump has conducted two full-fledged press conferences in two and a half years. Both were disasters, and he won't hold another. By way of contrast, by this time Obama had conducted 20 solo press conferences. https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/statistics/data/presidential-news-conferences

Trump has become the secret President.

He likes to hold news conferences with friendly reporters on the White House lawn with Marine One churning away. Although unpresidential, Trump is forced to shout his answers, and reporters' question are difficult, if not impossible, to hear.

Trump's chosen reporters ask softball questions and dare not question Trump's many lies. Trump, who thrives on camera time, is allowed to make speeches with this format.

All of man's problem are solved by rhetoric. Well, at any rate, that's how Trump thinks. He talks much, accomplishes very little. Think about that. What has he actually done?

So, nothing to back up your claim of an Obama hit list. Got it.

I'm very much awake and aware of how much a president can get away with since 911. Do you know how your representatives (House and Senate) voted on the Patriot Act? NDAA? Invading Iraq? I know how mine voted.

The difference is that Obama was actually behaving as if he were a dictator, using his pen and phone to knowingly violate the Constitution, ignore and violate our laws, and commit actions to bypassed Congress, which went beyond his presidential authority.

So when people were accusing Obama of wanting to be "king," they were euphemistic in their comments, but they were based on facts, due to Obama's extra Constitutional, and illegal acts.

Except that Trump has not acted impulsively.

Impulsive, is when a president never discusses anything with the American people or Congress, before he suddenly starts a war with a Libya, by launching attack aircraft to bomb the nation, while there was no threat to our nation, or any US persons abroad or at home.

    • The International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 would give President Trump discretion to impose restrictions on U.S. companies doing business in China if he declared an emergency.
Passed by Congress in 1977, IEEPA authorizes the president — after a national emergency is declared — to "investigate, regulate or prohibit" a range of activities by U.S. companies engaged in global commerce. Those include foreign exchange transactions, banking payments or transfers, and the import or export of foreign currency and securities.

IEEPA is "an extraordinarily broad and open-ended delegation from Congress to the president," Jack Goldsmith, a Harvard Law School professor and Hoover Institute fellow, said in a tweet. As of earlier this year, U.S. presidents had invoked the act more than 50 times since its initial passage, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Mr. Trump's threat to block U.S. companies from doing business in China "would face no effective legal barrier," Height Securities analyst Clayton Allen said in a research note. The White House could also expect backing from the courts, which have tended to uphold even broad exercises of power under IEEPA, Goldsmith said in another tweet.

Not new to me. As your article highlights, they have to show some sort of legislative intent, so they have this manufactured unnamed, whistleblower...it’s a round about way, unfortunately they will have to produce him

So in other words you don't have a problem with Trump bypassing congress, its just Obama you have a problem with. Got it.

I'm sure it has already been said, but the president cannot order a company to leave a country or go to a country, as he cannot order a citizen to live anywhere.

No, I don't want any presidential dynasty, let alone a Trumpian one. And Trump can't really do any of those things, regardless of his idiocy day to day.

Since you want to play dumb, let me be clear, Obama went outside of our laws, to bypass Congress; he violated the US Constitution. Trump has not bypassed Congress; he's following the laws passed by Congress.
