Is that even true anymore? I recall Trump saying "Make America Great Again", Hillary respoinding "America's Already Great" and conservatives jeering. I see plenty of talking heads on the conservative side go on and on about how horrible America has become. There is PLENTY of it on that side. It isn't exclusive to the left.

 

Sure I can define "leftist", that's easy. A leftist is someone who thinks government is there to "help" them. A conservative is someone who recognizes that government, like Man, is inherently evil. The conservative wants less government. The leftist wants more government

No, those countries I mention aren't governed by we the people. Neither is America, but that is the illusion the leftist needs to maintain. Just like the DPRK, The Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Liberals do populate our universities... rioting and destroying every time anyone dares say anything that's not radical leftist line. Its awful. I've worked in high tech most of my life from Lockheed to DARPA and from Boeing to NASA. Liberals are few and far between. Most are veterans. Liberals, who think taking from achievers to give free stuff to bums, who think we should spend billions defending Ukraine's borders while leaving our own wide open, and who think letting violent criminals go free is a good idea... aren't very "bright". Conservatives love MLK. His comments about "judging people by the quality of their character, rather than the color of their skin" is hateful to liberals.

I think it's the difference between the "me" perception and the "us" perception of the nation.
The "me" people think the nation should be all about them, and the conservatives aren't giving them what they are entitled to.... so conservatives are the bad guys. They think we all owe them.
The "us" people see that we are all part of the same system, and each of us has a primary obligation to care for ourselves, and not become a burden on others.

The first is adversary. For me to win, you have to lose. Selfish, arrogant, self-destructive society- with no future.

The second is partnership. For me to win, you have to win as well. Teamwork, raising the best quality kids we can, and building for the future of everyone.

All people make mistakes, but some do them on purpose because they really don't care about anyone other than themselves and right now.
