If Biden is "extreme left" as some claim, then why are progressives ripping him for not being left enough for them? The anti-capitalist leftists are even staging a protest and they are saying Biden will pay the price in 2024 elections. IMO he wont be on the ticket, and even if he is, he doesn't need to worry about the far-left, because the independents will decide the winner.

Biden’s rift with progressive left will be on display at APEC summit in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO − President Joe Biden's problems with his party's left flank will be on display in San Francisco this week as progressives use a summit with world leaders to put a spotlight on disagreements with his trade agenda and the administration's approach to the Israel-Hamas war.

As Biden and other leaders attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, pro-Palestinian groups, along with the many anti-capitalist, anti-neoliberal demonstrators, are taking to the streets.

Ironic. Insofar as he is likely to deliver Trump back in the White House.

Na, Trump was a worse captain. Trump being bad doesn't make Biden good, but voting for Biden because Trump is bad is not an example of cutting off your nose to spite your face, it's choosing the lesser of two evils. Biden being like the most average old career politician ever, and Trump being a narcissistic monster and the only good thing I can say about him is he didn't start any pointless wars.

Will you be voting for Xtofascist controlled GOP that support the ZIONIST Apartheid regime that is murdering Palestinian children on a daily basis?

Or will you be voting for the candidate that supports an END to that violence and a 2 state solution?

It would good if you could post in plain English.

Your side’s call for a cease fire is Hamas policy. They attack, kill people and kidnap hostages. Then they go back to Gaza, hide behind civilians and call for a cease fire. A few months later, they repeat the same actions. Hamas has already said that October 7 was only the first. They said that. I did not make it up.

I understand the concern about innocent citizens and the hostages. But what you going to do if Hamas hides behind them? What about the “innocent citizens” who support Hamas? Does your side have a solution to control and eradicate Hamas? Would you have supported leaving the SS after the fall of Nazi Germany?

You condemned the anti-Semitic movement in Charlottesville. Hamas is infinitely worse because they act on their hate.

Not a dimes worth of DIFFERENCE between the ZIONIST Haters, the Hamas Haters and the Xtofascist Haters IMO.

NONE of them should be allowed to hold power over others or have access to any types of weaponry.

That YOU only see ONE side as being the "problem" says volumes.

The “Zionist” language leaves you looking like an anti-Semite. It’s not a positive image.

Opposing Hamas is boilerplate if you are a decent person.

The “Xtofasscist” term is really mindless. I am reminded of an old Twilight Zone episode from the early 1960s where a man, who condemns everyone he doesn’t like, as “evil.” At certain hour, he wishes that every one he condemns will be one foot tall. When the hour strikes, he’s looking up at his own couch.

I didn’t vote for Biden, but if I did, I would definitely be regretting it now. Of course, I would probably be saying the same thing if I voted for Trump and he won. I certainly was saying that when I voted for him the first time.
I’m going RFK this time, unless someone better comes along. I don’t agree with him on everything, but definitely a lot more than Trump or Biden.

I only regret that the two parties keep giving us such sub-optimal candidates to pick from. I will always support Biden over Trump and, for that matter, Biden over a jellybrain like RFK Jr., but Biden is not ideal at this point.

The two parties enjoy a monopoly over political power at the federal level, and that monopoly is no better than a monopoly in the business world. The two parties need competition to be better, not this race to the bottom.

Well, sometimes stopping a Hitlerite fascist takes top priority. We can sort out other issues when he is in prison. At this point any vote for any third party candidate, or any choice to abstain due to making the perfect the enemy of the good, is a vote for Trump and fascism.

That would be a vote for Trump because you already know RFK is not going to win.

That is the thinking that keeps the failed two party system in place. I will never again vote for a candidate I do not actually support. Personally, I think the entire country should adopt ranked voting. That will cripple the power of the political parties. It's been a huge success here in Maine.

We voted against trump, his policies and his supporters.

trump had to manipulate the market to achieve marginal GDP growth and pushed numbers failed trade wars. Recession indicators were already present for manufacturing pre-COVID and then he completely failed when COVID did hit.

We didn’t cut our nose off to spite our face, and you are likely going to see a rematch of those votes again.

what exactly did the Trump administration do to harm you? I think he's a narcissistic blow hard but I sure loved lower gas prices and the fact we aren't on the verge of a European and mideastern war that sucks us into it.

ah the Hitler claim. I don't see Trump trying to disarm honest Americans or using the federal law enforcement agencies to silence his critics. Now Biden-he's much closer to Hitler

Trade wars, quantitative easing, manipulation of the financial markets, destruction of presidential norms, destruction of what was left of political discourse (I would probably pin that more on his supporters, **** your feelings ring a bell?) installing partisan hacks in key government positions, installing justices with the sole intent of removing legal precedent, negotiating with literal terrorists…

Not to mention what he did to faith in the processes that govern how this nation operates.

Gas prices are good but they don’t matter when there are literal cults roaming the streets flying the flag of their cult leader while telling everyone else to **** off.

The last time a politician called their opponents vermin was Hitler. Do tell — what does one typically do to vermin?

I AM just not seeing issues that actually affect the average person. This sort of answer is what you see from leftwing think tanks. "destruction of presidential norms" for example is esoteric gobbledygook speak IMHO.

Were you upset over FDR's justices overturning more legal precedent than any court in history.

I wasn’t alive during FDR. Hell, my parents were not

And no, it isn’t “gobbledygook” to think it is bad for a president to be retweeting the only good Jew is a dead one. It isn’t ok for a president to install unqualified lobbyists in cabinet positions. It isn’t ok for a president to tell his supporters their nation is being stolen for them. It isn’t ok for a president to use the office to leverage business deals.

That you took my entire post and focused on one part and then could only come up with “that’s just what the media said” — shows exactly why I believe that movement has damaged this nation, facts and arguments in good faith are now irrelevant to only be replaced with bumper sticker slogans.

Sure, I asked you a question first though.

What does one typically do to vermin?
    Unable to answer? Fascinating
