Right. His rhetoric is unheard of in Western politics, but there are parallels with Silvio Berlusconi, the former PM of Italy who also a billionaire, and branded himself as populist outsider. Like Trump he was also charged with tax fraud, he had a habit of making inane comments, had warm relationship with Putin etc. Like Trump, he was also considered a political clown. Sometimes I wonder if Trump models his style after Berlusconi

Biden is not far behind with his constant "MAGA" rhetoric. All he's doing is playing to his base because I don't think it gets him many independent votes. He was elected as a "uniter" not a hater of the opposition.

I don’t support Trump for the nomination, so I have no need to defend him. As for Biden, my wife had hopes that he would keep his word and be a uniter. He dashed her hopes as soon as he returned from his inauguration and started writing executive orders.
Another honest question for you, how do you unify people that cheer or are ambivalent to their leader calling for the death of them? Biden never gave unity a chance. As my wife said, he turned far left on the very first day. There never was a “honeymoon period” with the Republicans because his handlers didn’t want one. He didn’t even try, but I don’t think he could have tried because he has never had the mental capacity to buck the extremists who have run his administration.
