The one thing guaranteed with Trump supporters is they have no clue as to their own country's laws and legal system as we can see above.

To start with once Trump is charged on Tuesday he will have 45 days following the arraignment to present pre-trial motions which he will asking for the case to be dismissed. When that does not work his lawyers will ask to prevent certain evidence from being presented at the trial. His lawyers will try stall as much as they can with motions. The key here....drag the process out so he is not at trial and/or convicted before the next election.

Also during th time leading up to the actual trial, Trump’s defense lawyers and the DA’s office will have to engage in discovery, exchanging information including physical evidence and copies of written or verbal statements. The prosecutor has to provide certain but not all information within 15 days of the arraignment, but other material does not have to come until just before the trial starts. However given the nature of allegations pretty much all the evidence has already been disclosed.

What will not happen is the Judge dismissing the case or Trump’ lawyers attemptingf to plea bargaining with the prosecutor to avoid a trial. They can't because any conviction of any kind is not something Trump's mental state could accept.

Trump's problems are just beginning. He has a hush money trial, the documents trial and a civil trial about misrepresentation of business information. That is just the start. More indictments probably will come in.

By the way its not just Stormy Daniels or other women Trump paid off. Its National Enquirer as well.

The irony is this. There is no constitutional bar for a candidate convicted of crimes from running for President and Trump supporters as you can see from their responses in this and other threads live in a bubble and can not and will not recognize what he has done.

Once the indictments come in about the vote fixing and the capital hill riots what we are looking at is Trump hoping he can stall all of these trials until after the election. In his deluded mind if he is President again, they have to wait until he is out of office again to proceed with them and won't.

I strongly suggest he will be dead before he sees a jail cell but he will be given a jail sentence. The seriousness of what he has done in terms of the vote fixing and capital hill riots not to mention the documents calls for that kind of sentence.

By the way the Trumpets who claim his mishandling of documents requires criminal intent need to go find out what the actual standard of proof to be shown is. No its not simply Donald says he thought he was allowed to do what he did so he is innocent. The law does not work that way and never did.

 

Some want him in jail because if you did what he did you'd be held in jail and awaiting trial.
